The town boasts a wide array of independent cafes, shops, restaurants and galleries for stocking up on supplies, buying gifts for family and enjoying hearty meals out. Also, within easy reach are the popular hotspots of Westonbirt Arboretum, Cotswold Farm Park and Blenheim Palace.

The cottage welcomes you into the stylish kitchen with everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The lounge is cosy and welcoming and provides the perfect space to curl up in front of the roaring wood burner with a good book whilst watching the TV/DVD, or just to relax in after a long day exploring. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find the master bedroom with king-size bed, vaulted ceiling and a stunning Venetian feature window that offers charming views over the village. The bathroom next door has a shower over bath and WC. There is a further twin bedroom which is bright and airy and benefits from a handy en-suite shower room and WC. Taking a further flight of stairs up to the second floor you will find the cosy single bedroom, decorated with neutral tones and complimenting furniture to ensure you get a peaceful night’s rest.

A lavender lined path runs to the front door of the cottage and there is a large stone terrace, with easy access to the kitchen. This area is ideal for summer entertaining. The large garden is mainly laid to lawn with beech hedging. There is also a pretty rose arbour at the bottom of the garden, which leads directly onto the riverside path which leads to the centre of the village. Quintessentially Cotswolds, Windrush House is pristine and well-furnished. We had a peaceful and pleasant (first!) stay. Excellently located, the house is yards from pubs, restaurants, charming tea rooms, antique shops, a first rate chippy, a museum and a bird sanctuary. A usable kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and good-sized living area. Parking wasRead more convenient and we (just) managed to park two cars. Stepping through the well-maintained garden onto the river Windrush each day was idyllic. Hide

Very quaint home in a nice location. Some things are a little tired and could use a spruce up. Beds were quite comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much.
