Appledore itself offers all the old world charm of a fishing village alongside great bars and eateries, and also access to the South West Coast Path. You will also be within a short drive from the beautiful sandy beach at Westward Ho!, enabling you to enjoy the best of this ever popular area, and further sea and sand can also be found at nearby Instow and the surfing beaches of Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe. Other attractions accessible from here include access to the Tarka Trail and day trips to Lundy Island from Bideford, RHS Rosemoor, Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, The Big Sheep and Milky Way Adventure Parks, Atlantic Village and Clovelly.

On entering this stunning property, you will immediately find yourself in a light and spacious hallway of the first floor, and in front of you, a spectacular oak and glass staircase which cuts through all three floors of the property.
On the first floor you will also discover the first of the beautiful bedrooms. These consist of a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower and WC, and French doors opening out onto a balcony, a pretty twin bedroom with an en-suite shower and WC and two further cosy and compact king-size bedrooms. A fabulously spacious bathroom with hand-held shower over bath and WC, services these two latter rooms.
Venturing down the stairs to the ground floor you will then discover another fantastic area, a spacious games room boasting large sofas, French doors to outside, a Smart TV/DVD, a selection of games, books and DVDs, and a multi game table with table tennis, air hockey and pool. Sat beside this is the final bedroom, a beautifully presented king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower and WC. Finally, an undeniably useful utility room with two heated towel rails, perfect for drying towels and wet-suits after a day at the beach, a washing machine and a tumble dryer completes the offering inside the property.
Ascending the stairs to second floor, the accommodation opens up into a spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, the lounge area with an impressive vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, stereo, wood burner and French doors leading to an enclosed balcony. The kitchen itself is perfectly appointed and includes an informal dining area in the shape of a breakfast bar, two electric ovens and five ring gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, a separate fridge and two dishwashers.

From the games room you can step outside to a lovely enclosed courtyard, presented with garden furniture and a BBQ.

We stayed as a family group and it was perfect. Immaculately clean and fabulously well equipped. Large and spacious so you aren't on top of each other and a great cinema / games room downstairs if you want a family movie night or want a separate space for the kids. Centrally located so no reason to eat in if you don't want as places to eat all nearRead moreby within a short walk. No parking but car park a 5 mins walk away and a weekly ticket will cost you 30 (loads of spaces in August). Wonderful place Hide

The cottage is just beautiful the seating and kitchen area is a show stopper. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully oresented and again spotlessly clean. The games room was an added extra we played pool, table tennis and air hockey and the TV was great too.. The outdoor area was also lovely, we had a lRead moreovely bbq with fresh seafood purchased locally. We were a party of 9 and the dining space accommodated us all with room to spare. Amazing property! Couldn't believe how lovely it was. The kitchen was high quality and well equipped, and it was a wonderful space for 10 people. An absolutely fantastic place for a family get together. We were here with our adult children and their partners - plenty of room for everyone to hang out upstairs and have tournaments in the games room downstairs. The house was very well equipped with all the pots, pans, utensils etc you could possibly need. The location was perfect; the house is Read morein the centre of things yet quite quiet and hidden. We do know Appledore very well and this is certainly the best place we have stayed. Perfection! Hide

Perfect base for our multigenerational get away. Great communication from the caretaker throughout. Beautifully clean and well equipped property. Access was slightly more difficult than anticipated, overall, would book again.

Great space for our family of 8adults, 2 little ones and 2 dogs. Clean and very warm there was no need to light the wood burner, the beds were very comfortable, plenty of crockery and cutlery,pots and pans. Lovely walks around the area too. Good food from The Seagate and Flame factory, didn't try any others. Weather helped massively.
