This cottage is a little gem. I was looking for a cottage with a downstairs bedroom and bathroom so my elderly parents could come with us and this fitted the bill perfectly. There is a step at the front door but as long as your aware of it it isnt a problem. I have never stayed in such a well equipped cottage, it has everything. The owners Lindsey Read moreand Andy are lovely people and so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Shall definitely book again. Hide

This is a wonderful little cottage, beautiful scenery and incredibly friendly hosts. Close enough to Ripon to be convenient for supplies but far enough away to really feel like you are in the middle of the countryside. The bath upstairs is amazing and it was fantastic to sink into after a day of adventuring. Would definitley recommend

Our weeks stay at Anvil Cottage was delightful; it was comfortable, very stylish and spotlessly clean, and the welcoming touches, such as the delicious home-baked bread and freshly laid eggs were much enjoyed. Lindsey and Andy were super hosts - friendly and helpful with local knowledge, and we loved their animals and the beautiful Yorkshire countrRead moreyside. The property is very comfortable, and well equipped with good quality furnishing and fittings. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The animals they keep on the farm are a delight. The weather was a little on the wet side whilst we were there but there is plenty to do nearby and we had an excellent holiday.
