A very comfortable and cosy barn conversion cottage set up with all you need for a break away from it all. While Ruston is a lovely, peaceful village providing an ideal setting for a relaxing stay, it is close enough to Malton for food and shopping and also to Scarborough for walks and the beach.

Comfortable, welcoming cottage. Martin and Lisa, were on hand if needed but in no way intrusive. Blacksmiths Barn offers an excellent base for exploring the moors, the local pub is good value and there are several easy walks from the front door.

Great location, 6 miles from Scarborough and right on the edge of the North Yorks Moors. Clean and well equipped. Everything you could need for a break. My only small niggle was that the bed was a bit on the small side. I'm used to more space and I found it uncomfortably cramped.

Lovely little barn, located in a very small villlage. Barn was as shown in photos, well equipped, best ever instructions for hot to use log burner. One pub easy to walkable to but need a car to get most local villages. Would recommend if you want to be away from it all.

We had a great break at this unusual cottage. The Barn has been refurbished to a very high standard. The bedroom is on a mezanine floor overlooking the sitting area. Also unusual is the bath in the bedroom area. The location is very convenient with easy access to both the coast and the moors, with a pub within walking distance.
