Butler's Retreat was just that - a retreat. From the noise, pollution, and hurley-burley of big-city life. The peace and quiet was lovely, as were our hosts (and Fudge the dog) we felt very welcome and at ease. Romantic break in the most beautiful settings. Friendliest and most accommodating hosts. Couldn't recommend highly enough. Great big bed, lovely bath, fully stocked kitchen, private garden with BBQ and conservatory. We had such a great weekend.

Fantastic apartment. Very comfortable, bed was a delight. Location ideal for exploring. Everything we needed was provided for in the apartment, well stocked kitchen. A vegetable peeler would be a good addition. Apartment was very clean, marked down for freezer needing a defrost before we could use (not a major problem), and some crumbs on the grillRead more pan. I highly recommend this apartment, the hosts are very nice and it was extremely peaceful. Richmond just down the road is lovely, but for supermarkets head to Catterick garrison.
