Head to the market town of Richmond, home to Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history, just 5.5 miles away, or venture further afield to explore Darlington, sitting 8 miles away.

Leave your cares of the world at the door, as you step inside this traditional, character filled cottage which has been lovingly maintained, offering elegance throughout. The snug lounge is full of soft furnishings to give a comforting vibe, so you can truly unwind. Next door is the well-proportioned kitchen/diner offering ample space and amenities so that you can cook up a storm after you've stocked up on some fresh local produce. Following a day of exploration, make your way upstairs and take your pick of one of the two comfortable bedrooms offering a restful night's sleep. You'll also find the family bathroom upstairs, complete with bath so you can indulge in a long hot soak after a day of discovering the Dales.

Great holiday home, comfortable and relaxing with a high quality finish. I felt at home from the moment I walked through the door with a real cosy feel to it. A lovely little hamper was waiting for us which was a really nice touch.

We had a fantastic time staying in this lovely cottage. A good location (not too remote but equally not too busy!) for travelling around Yorkshire. We visited Richmond for a day and travelled to nearby villages to visit English Heritage sites including Middleham Castle. Harrogate was less than an hours drive away and we had a lovely lunch at BettysRead more tea rooms. Road outside the property can be a little noisy first thing in the morning but it wouldnt put me off visiting again! Hide

A lovely cottage in a pretty village.Well equipped and comfortable and the locals are friendly and helpful. We spent a day in Richmond which is a short drive away. This cottage was a lovely place to stay. Definitely felt like a home from home. Nice touch with the small welcome hamper and the homemade Parkin was lovely. We travelled with a baby and were supplied with a high chair and a travel cot which made things a lot easier for travelling up there. The village itself doesnt have many amenities, although it Read moreis beautiful and quiet. You are however not far from shops, restaurants etc in Richmond (approx 6miles away). The cottage is excellent for two adults plus two smaller children. We enjoyed our stay, found it warm as the weather could have been better. The hamper was welcome. The cleanliness was marvellous! Roads very busy at times. Lovely village green outside the back area. Village quoits took place twice during our stay.

Dawn View is set in a lovely village which overlooks the village green. On entering the cottage it had a lovely atmosphere and felt very homely. The owners left a beautiful welcome pack which we enjoyed very much. The furnishings were of high quality, very tastefully decorated and was immaculate.
