Property code: G0088

Beautiful seaside escape tucked away in the picturesque fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay, well-appointed to explore the delights of the stunning Yorkshire coastline with your partner.

Set within a truly enviable location within the former smuggling gateway village, you will benefit from a number of charming eateries, traditional British pubs and independent shops in addition to a wonderful sandy beach within walking distance. As one of Yorkshire's most popular coastal villages, you could easily spend your days here as you enjoy a truly relaxing retreat. However, if you wish to explore further afield, make your way along the coast to the historically rich town of Whitby just 5.5 miles away and pay a visit to its stunning ruined Abbey or the St Mary's Church; storied with a literary history.

Step through the stable door to uncover an elegant and stylish cottage offering a homely vibe throughout. The ground floor is home to an open-plan living room made up of the lounge, kitchen and dining area. After a bracing walk along the coast, take refuge in the cosy lounge as you fire up the traditional wood burner and cosy up on the comfortable sofa in front of the TV. If you manage to resist the temptation of the wonderful eateries around and fancy a spot of home cooking, the contemporary kitchen complete with breakfast bar offers everything you'll need to prepare a hearty meal. Make your way up the winding staircase to discover the sophisticated bedroom complete with a sumptuous king-size bed and luxurious soft furnishings. The bathroom next door is a real oasis with its bath and monsoon rain shower overhead; perfect for a long candle-lit soak.

The exterior is as equally attractive, make the most of your private terrace set in an elevated position above the cottage; a wonderful setting for a spot of al fresco lunch during the warmer months. What's more, you can fire up the chimenea offering plenty of heat so you can enjoy the space long into the evening. An outside space is something of a rarity in the area, so take advantage of sitting outside of a morning as you take in the fresh sea air.

  • 1 king-size bedroom
  • 1 bathroom with bath, monsoon rain shower and WC
  • Hob, oven, fridge, icebox, dishwasher, coffee maker
  • Outside space with seating
  • LCD TV
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Traditional wood burner (first basket of logs included)
  • Electric and heating included
  • Regret no pets
  • Welcome hamper included
  • Pubs and shops within half a mile
  • DVD player
  • Babes-in-arms are welcome (please bring your own cot/highchair) - due to the nature of the stairs this property is not suitable for toddlers
  • Parking - please note, there is no parking available at the cottage however it is sometimes possible to purchase a private permit for the nearby car-park. Please note this cannot accommodate for vehicles larger than a Range Rover . If this is not possible, parking is available at the top of the hill in the council car parks (charges apply).

Cosy clean little fisherman's cottage bolt hole with a great central location in the village. Comfy for one or two people, well-equipped, relaxing colours to the decor. No view really but not many of these cottages do. Lots of stairs in RHB be warned!

Pretty but lacking on some practicalities. No pass included for Fisherhead car park which is so much easier to get to than those at the top. The person who ends up sleeping under the sloping roof is likely to go home with some bumps on their head! No matter how careful you forget occasionally. Steep steps up to cottage itself, not unusual in RHB. SRead moreunny sitting out spot, good shower, comfy bed, very close to pubs and restaurants. Hide

Loved this little cottage. Perfect for couples, has everything you need. Could just do with a footstool to use with the sofa to stretch you legs out on in front of the tv after a long day walking! Would definitely recommend though as we both said we would come back to the same cottage again ?

Lovely cottage and location, kitchen very well equipped and the bed comfortable. The carpet, rugs and under the sofa cushions had a lot of debris...which came to light when I lost the back of my earring and we lifted and shook the rug and looked in the sofa. Only a minor thing in a great cottage.
