Lovely quiet cottage next to a stream. Met by Lionel who showed us around. Crisp white bedding and cosy bed. Softest towels ever. Large shower with gel provided. Alison made us a gorgeous fruit cake and dropped off some homemade apple juice. It was my birthday, Alison put banners and a balloon up for me, nice touch. Lionel showed us round his workiRead moreng watermill and how he made the flour, much appreciated thank you. Pub was a 5 minute walk away. Best hosts. Middleham/Leyburn good for walks. Hide

Handily placed for the Yorkshire Dales but also fairly close to the Moors. The property was nicely presented, comfortable and bright.

A delightful cottage to spend a week - or more! A little disappointing that the local pub seems to be a little hit and miss with regards to opening times. These things happen.
