Perfect for a couple, this beautiful, quirky property has one of the hottest addresses in Scarborough, set within an historic building close to the Rotunda Museum and Spa Bridge.

The fabulous location of this property means it boasts some of the best sea views along the Yorkshire Coast. Meander up the historic streets to explore Scarborough Castle or take a leisurely stroll around the South Cliff area, there is so much to enjoy here without having to step foot in a vehicle if you don't want to. You won't go hungry during your stay as there's a huge selection of eateries; from traditional fish and chips to bistro brasserie restaurants.

The accommodation is located on the first floor of the building, set over various levels with all rooms looking out to sea. The lounge can be found on the upper level and is a unique semi-circular shape, filled with natural light which streams through large double sash windows. Warm oak flooring and a large comfy sofa to relax on add the finishing touches to this warm and welcoming room. The spacious kitchen next door features sleek glossy units and all mod cons, including a touch screen hob and dishwasher. The large sash windows in the bedroom take full advantage of the incredible sea views, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of a queen-sized bed. The bathroom is just next door and comes with a bath, handheld shower  over the bath and WC.

Outside you'll find a pleasant grassed area in an elevated position looking down to the ocean; a wonderful place to throw down a blanket and enjoy a picnic during the warmer months.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Our stay in the property was a unique experience and the owner made us feel very welcome, unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short due to illness hence the short review.

The property was excellent, and it was a great to be able to stay in an old victorian building.

I would only suggest small dogs due to space and no garden etc (also be aware of the angry dog that lives next door) Bed too soft and too small for an average size couple. Also the boiler constantly needing to be re-pressured isnt great. Every morning by 5am the seagulls are extremely vocal and by 6:30am the daily bootcamp running up Museum terraceRead more, up and down spa bridge is very loud. Property is clean and well equipped but the above issues devalue it. Didnt stop us having a good time Hide

The Old Jet Works is a great, quirky property. Alex is the perfect host, answering all questions quickly & providing all information needed on the property and the area. The property was in an ideal location, just 5 min walk to the seafront and town and all rooms at the property had sea views. Other reviews mentioned the noise of the seagulls but I hadnt appreciated how noisy they would be but they were rearing their chicks when we stayed. Quaint and quirky. Good location. For those who are not familiar with the area be prepared for steep hilly walks and lots of stairs. Busy times are also an issue for parking Fabulous place for surfers and water sports.

A splendid location with easy access to so much the area has to offer. Being close to the sea was perfect for us and although the seagulls are a little bit noisy in the mornings it didn't bother us at all. The decor and comfort of this accommodation is commendable and we would certainly recommend it.

The cottage is quirky and therefore absolutely perfect for a getaway for two. We loved it. Museum Terrace is, in fact, a pedestrianised way, so one cannot drive or park there. So the allocated parking is on the street & always out of your sight. Apartment was in a perfect location

Ideally located by the Spa Bridge, South Bay. You have to park on the road but not to far from the property (although lugging bags up or down is a bit of hard work) but then scratchcards are provided so that after paying for your first couple of hours parking is free for the rest of your stay.
