Enjoy a unique escape and sit in the lap of luxury with your loved ones in this dreamy coastal haven backed by the North York Moors.

Set in the delightful village of Sandsend, this fantastic property is less than 200 yards from the beach. Head a hundred yards or so to Wits End Cafe, pick up a tea-to-go and head off along the sandy beach to fill your lungs with fresh, salty air. Stretching all the way to Whitby, you can walk the whole length of the beach (a good 2.5 miles) if you would like to. With numerous cafes, restaurants, shops and activities available in both Sandsend and Whibty, the cottage is well served by conveniences and amenities. For inland walks, head 11 miles away to the North Yorkshire Moors tallest waterfall, Mallyan Spout, completing the 3-mile round-trip from Goathland village.


A truly inspiring space, this property will be a hard one to leave. Immediately impressive with its traditional facade it is both attractive and inviting, infusing loft-style chic with beach chalet vibes. Heading inside, the first place to see is the beautiful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its double height ceiling and New England-style panelled walls. Cleverly re-purposing unusual objects and combining them with luxurious furnishings and pretty details, the space's crisp tones and interior design are a total dream. For quieter days, the lounge enjoys plush sofas, a wood burner and a TV with SKY and DVD player, perfect for relaxation. Venture into the kitchen area where a lovely surprise awaits: a welcome hamper full of goodies. If you fancy yourself as a cook, the kitchen will not disappoint. With plenty of worktop space to work your magic, there is also a double oven and hob, large fridge for storing the essentials (food and fizz), a double sink and plenty of equipment. After a day's sightseeing, you will certainly look forward to a good night's sleep. Home to three bedrooms, each member of your party has somewhere to snuggle up at the end of the day. The first two bedrooms are on the ground floor: one with a king-size bed and another with two singles. In addition to the bedrooms, there is also a family bathroom on the ground floor, including a bath with shower overhead and heated towel rail. Upstairs you will come to the final bedroom. Set in the eaves, the upper floor has a slanting roof, as well as deep steps leading to both a separate lounge area and an en-suite bathroom. The bedroom itself has a double bed and the en-suite comes complete with its own bath, perfect for soaking your muscles at the end of the day.


Outside a large lawn is the perfect place for the kids and dogs to let off steam whilst the grown-ups make use of the outside seating.


Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Peaceful location with large lawned area to rear, woods to side yet only 5 minutes walk to the beach/shops/restaurants and local pub- perfect location. Fantastic cottage. The location is ideal as you have the coast in front and yet your surrounded by stunning woodland. I would definitely go back again. The owners Rosie and Daryl are really kind and welcoming.

A lovely family house in a wonderful location for the perfect beach and forest holiday. We find it is great for mum and dad with 2 children and a baby downstairs and grannie upstairs.
