With mesmerising panoramas of Penn Hill and the surrounding patchwork of green, this property is the perfect haven for nature-lovers looking to immerse themselves in country living.

Encompassed by such unyielding natural beauty, the first port of call for guests is, of course, the surrounding countryside and moors. To delve beneath the surface, pick up the Leyburn to Harmby walk, a 5-mile circular walk that takes you to Harmby's hidden waterfall. For a bit more of a challenge, there is also a 7-mile route that includes Preston-under-Scar, Wensley and Leyburn Shawl. Once you've worked up an appetite, 2.5 miles away in Redmire is the Bolton Arms pub and restaurant. 3.5 miles away, Leyburn market town also offers shops and eateries.

After a long drive or day of exploring, this property's sunlit lounge is the ideal place to put your feet up. Rewarding guests with magnificent views from the windows, you can sink into one of the large, plump sofas, which are new for 2019, and drink it all in. When evening creeps in and momentarily cloaks the scenery, a TV and DVD are provided for family entertainment and an open fire adds to the cosy atmosphere. To put together a picnic or cook up a feast for all the gang, a kitchen comes equipped with an oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. For extra convenience, there is also an outhouse with a tumble dryer and additional fridge for extra supplies! Next to the kitchen is the diner. Enjoying lots of light from the floor to ceiling patio doors and a large dining table big enough for all the family, it's a sweet family space throughout the day. For a good night's sleep, head upstairs. Here, all three of the cottage's bedrooms can be found. The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed, the second bedroom has a double and the third has a single bed. Also, upstairs is the family bathroom, where a bath with overhead shower provides a bubbly embrace.

Heading outside, you'll appreciate the property's true icing on the cake. With a private patio boasting incredible vistas, make use of the outside furniture to lap up the sunshine and the sights with a morning coffee or evening tipple.

We stayed at the Setts and found it comfortable and warm. The kitchen was attractive and had 6 of everything and cooking equipment. Full size oven and grill plus microwave. There is a booklet explaining how everything worRead moreks and it is important to read all of it at the beginning so you know how to get hot water all the time and also how to operate the oven. The welcome basket of goodies was a nice gesture. The office staff at Gorgeous Cottages very helpful. Would definitely like to stay there again. Hide

Peaceful location in rural village. Cottage extremely well equipped, especially the kitchen. Beds very comfortable but sofas definitely need replacing. Enjoyed comfort of having an open fire even in the middle of August! Wonderful view of the hills to the rear but would benefit from bushes and shrubs being cut back to maximise the smaller garden.Read more A very clean, well presented cottage which with a few tweaks would be perfect. This is a lovely well equipped cottage and felt more like a home than a holiday cottage. The setting and views were amazing, providing a perfect location for a relaxing break. Only negative was that the single bed wasnt very comfortable.

We had a fabulous week at The Setts. The cottage was very tidy, bright and airy and the views across the fields to Pen Hill were wonderful. We never tired of gazing out of the living room window and fortunately the weather was kind enough to allow us to sit out on the patio with a glass of wine or a cup of tea!
