Boasting original features such as a Victorian cast iron range, this handsome farmhouse, approx. 8 miles North of Kirkbymoorside, is steeped in history but still has many contemporary touches to ensure your stay is a comfortable one. Within the National Park, there are also plenty of picturesque market towns and villages with tearooms, cafes, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, including foodies' haven, Helmsley (14 miles), and Pickering (16 miles).

Once you've appreciated the attractive exterior of this cottage, step inside where you'll find a spacious kitchen/diner with all the mod-cons to ensure you can cater for all your needs. The underfloor heating will keep your feet warm, but for more heat, head into the cosy lounge to snuggle up in front of the wood burner with a good book. The simple, elegant furniture creates a contemporary cottage style, making it easy to relax. Stone floors, warm woods and neutral tones throughout make it light, airy and spacious. There is a convenient utility room downstairs as well as a vast family bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate shower. Upstairs, there are three generous bedrooms (one king-size, one double and a twin), once again lovingly decorated in a simple, sophisticated style. There is a further bathroom on this floor with another bath and separate walk-in shower.

Outside, there is a large, lawned garden, which the kids and four-legged friends will love running around. For those looking for a more sedate holiday, the stone patio is the perfect place to sit back and soak up the rural tranquillity of the surrounding countryside.

Loved our stay. The cottage is beautiful and well equipped. Nice extras such as bread, milk, some condiments, and washing up bits, which are often missing when self-catering. The location is beautiful, very quiet. Lovely walks and easy to access wider North Yorkshire attractions. We frequented the pub which is very handy and the new shop is lovely.Read more Had a fantastic stay. Hide
