The cottage is very remote and the immediate surroundings not attractive. Fine as a base to visit other places

The cottage was lovely and comfortable, it seemed a shame Id booked for 4 nights as I could have happily stayed for a week. Its so peaceful and felt like home from home. Very comfortable and well laid out cottage. Facilities were great and the little extra touches most welcome. Area was lovely and peaceful and whilst you feel in middle of no where when in the cottage, within a couple of miles you are on main roads that connect you to York, Hull and Leeds etc.

Perfect secluded location for peace & quiet. Ideal for 2 & your dogs. Warm & cosy. Quiet & comfortable. Walks from the door step in every direction. We found the deer out to the right along the river in an un used farm buildings three gates down ( about 1.5 miles ) beautiful to see every day. We loved seeing the baby lambs & seeing new ones was a tRead morereat indeed. The log fire was well used after a long windy walk. Would highly recommend to couples / friends who want nothing but quiet & walking dogs Hide

Property itself nice enough however too remote for us, anyone going make sure you take everything ie milk and basics if you have a long journey as no nearby store. Not good for nervous dogs as lots of loud bangs (from bird scarers or gunshots) freaked ours out to the point they would go out walking, left early

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Modern kitchen and bathroom and good TV reception. We both have mobility issues and were not aware there were steps to the entrance, plus a very small gap between the end of the bed and the wall so difficult to access the far side unless walking crablike. Big comfy bed and linen and towels changRead moreed every week. Despite the mobility problems we enjoyed our stay. Hide

A superbly equipped clean tidy cottage with fabulous dogs walks in and around the cottage surrounding area. Fraisethorpe Beach is a dog friendly beach 35 miles up the road. All the people we encountered were very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this cottage to couples as it was just perfect in every way.

Wonderful escape to a peaceful countryside retreat. The odd tractor and farmer equipment trundles by and the farm workers come on and out but that is part of the heartbeat of being on a farm.
