An attractive cottage for two guests, close to Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Yorkshire coast. A superb prospect if you are looking for a couples’ break in the countryside.

Robin Hood’s Bay is a quaint village well-known to long-distance walkers because it’s at the western end of Alfred Wainwright’s famous walking route, the Coast to Coast Walk. With a delightful selection of pubs and small shops you will have everything you need for a relaxing break close to your retreat. The fishing industry has prevailed in Robin Hood’s Bay and there is a fishmonger’s in the village where you can buy freshly landed seafood. In the wider area, make sure you take a day trip to Whitby. The ruins of the 13th-century St Hilda’s Abbey on East Cliff dominate views across the River Esk and is a stunning spot for a photograph. Whitby also has excellent literary associations through the works of Lewis Carroll and Bram Stoker, namely Dracula.

Stepping through the front door of this gorgeous single-level barn conversion, you feel at home immediately. First of all, you will encounter the lovely kitchen which comes compete with a retro-style fridge, electric oven and gas hob, and a dishwasher. There's a handy breakfast bar in the kitchen for meal times. Next door is the dual aspect lounge which centres around a woodburner and a TV/DVD. It’s the perfect hideaway to relax and recuperate after a day of touring. There’s also a fine selection of books and board games to dive into if you fancy a tech detox. If you don’t, then Wi-Fi is available for planning your itinerary online. There is ample comfortable seating to curl up on and enjoy in the lounge, too. The bedroom is an airy and restful double with floor storage space and capacity to hang your clothes. The bathroom is furnished with a walk-in monsoon shower, a WC and vintage-style decoration to impress.

Outside the property is a courtyard shared with the neighbouring holiday property to the front. There is a private seating area and small garden to the rear of the property to make the most of the sun on hot weather days too, or to enjoy an early morning coffee. There is also allocated parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • Bedrooms - 1 double

Beautiful spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated cottage in peaceful countryside location close to Robin Hoods bay . Very well equipped we had everything we needed & more. Warm & cosy on rainy nights . We had a great holiday visiting Whitby , Sandsend & Staithes for coastal walks with the dog . Local pubs great for good food .

This pet friendly cottage is the best we have ever had and has certainly raised the bar to a great height. If only all pet friendly owners who rent out had the same mind set and understood that dogs DO go on furniture. We always take our own throws to protect furniture but there was really no need on this occassion. 10/10
