Perfectly positioned by the banks of the splendid Loch Long, on the beautiful South West Coast of the Rosneath peninsula. Nestled in the heart of the picturesque historic coastal village of Cove, with its great local amenities that include a restaurant serving an excellent range of daily meals, handy local shop, tearooms and sailing club, ideal for water sports enthusiasts. There is also a regular passenger ferry from Kilcreggan to Gourock with direct train links to the vibrant city of Glasgow. Visit the beautiful Linn Botanic Gardens situated at the head of Cove bay or enjoy amazing walking and cycling routes with an array of coastal, country and forest trails to explore, in this area of outstanding natural beauty.

Followed by a pretty double bedroom with feature fireplace and a stylish en-suite shower room, with shower and WC. Next is the lovely stylish twin bedroom with pretty, rear shared garden views. You are then met with the stylish and spacious bathroom with underfloor heating, bath, large separate shower and WC. Finally, completing the accommodation is the well-equipped kitchen/diner with underfloor heating, the perfect place to cook up a storm with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, coffee machine, washing machine and dishwasher, and a spacious dining area with ample seating, ideal to enjoy family meals together. There is also direct access from the kitchen to the rear shared garden.

Venturing outside to the wonderful private fully enclosed front garden, with magnificent sea and mountain views to enjoy over Loch Long, there is a seating area, ideal for al fresco dining and lazy evening star gazing, perhaps with a good local ale, nice glass of wine or a wee dram. There is also a shared garden to the rear of the property, with secure housed bike storage available. There is ample off-road parking available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Fabulous house with all the home comforts in a fabulous location. Cove is stunning with Gothic Victorian villas lining the coast line of Loch Long and its a brilliant location for day trips to Helensburgh, Glasgow, Inveraray, Loch Lomond and Glencoe. A delightful stay at Rockvale - very comfortable ground floor, Victorian house with high quality furnishings and decor. We had a lovely stay at Rockvale this week. The house is excellent, really well equipped with all the everyday things you might need for your stay. Great location and we enjoyed exploring Cove and the surrounding areas by foot and by car. A fabulous location for the quiet, away from trippers holiday we wanted. The shop next door was amazing with a good selection of things including a huge variety of ice cream. Rockvale is located in a wonderful spot and the website photos don't do it justice! The property is very comfortable and well kept. Four of us stayed for a week with our dogs and with wonderful (unusually warm!) sunny weather it was one of the best Scottish trips we have made in 45 years! A lovely house with stunning view of Loch Long. We were very comfortable in this immaculate, well equipped house and slept like logs. Excellent property to stay in, very comfy and full of beautiful period items. The location is a superb base to tour from and the views from the garden/windows are absolutely amazing, we hope to return soon. The welcome package for ourselves and the dogs was very much appreciated.

We can not recommend this holiday cottage enough. It looks great in the pictures, and yet also exceeds expectations! The views are great, the decor is both charming and comfortable. We loved the walk-in shower, the well-equipped kitchen, views of the lock from both the sitting room & main bedroom. The house was lovely and in a great position looking across the loch so much to watch for , we saw porpoises seals and all the birds and ducks you could wish to see, so peaceful and beautiful setting. You cannot beat waking up in a luxurious bedroom to a view of the loch and mountains! The hosts had left too many goodies to get through, including Bonio biscuits for our dogs. Rockvale is in a great location, the view is glorious. The cottage itself is full of character and beautifully appointed, it is clean and warm and a great atmospheric place to spend Christmas.

Luxurious accommodation with high quality decoration, lots of lovely extras like sweets and coffee bar and a bottle of cold bubbly along with fruit bowl, eggs, bread, milk. My four dogs were also looked after well with their own doggie goodies. Fantastic views and location of Loch Long, where we saw wildlife every day.

Waking up to the amazing view over the loch was wonderful, even on grey days. The property is ideally located for either hill walks or walks around the lochs, and very well laid out to look after the dogs easily - also a local shop next door and a very helpful information pack from the owners to assist - - what more could you want!
