The property is set on the edge of the village of Williton and is within walking distance of a range of shops, pubs and bakery. Step back in time and aboard a steam train, conveniently located behind the main farmhouse is the West Somerset Railway, that takes you through the beautiful Somerset countryside. Dunster with its National Trust castle towering above is a must see and is just a short drive, as is Exmoor National Park, perfect for those wishing to walk or cycle this awe-inspiring landscape. Head to the coast and visit Watchet with it’s pretty harbour, or the coastal town of Minehead, further along the coast are the attractive villages of Porlock, Lynmouth and Lynton.

Enter your private enclosed terrace with views over the shared landscaped gardens and Quantock Hills and step into the carefully crafted, light and airy property through the French doors. The kitchen area is fitted with everything you may need to prepare a meal or hearty breakfast including an electric oven and two-ring hob, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher. During the warmer months let the outside in or when it’s cooler curl up in front of the wood burner and watch the seasons change. Relax in the lounge area, with Smart TV, wood burner and cosy seating, the ideal spot to plan your next day’s activities. Next is the stylish shower room with shower and WC where you can re-invigorate after a long day exploring. This accommodation was outstanding. Very clean with everything you could possibly want for a holiday and if you needed anything you just had to ask and it was provided. The owners were very pleasant and helpful and it was very dog friendly. It was an added attraction to be so near the steam railway. The cottage was right next to the West Somerset railway line which added character to the position of the cottage as the sound of the steam train coming into the station every couple of hours was lovely. Certainly a must for train enthusiasts.

Perfect place for two. Very nice comfortable property with a lovely view, comfortable bed, clean and modern. What more could you ask for. A steam train on your doorstep was just the icing on the cake. We would definitely recommend it to our friends especially those with dogs.

The cottage was decorated to a high specification and well equipped with all that you needed. It was well positioned for visiting all areas in Somerset and Devon. Louise and Edward were excellent hosts and made us welcome to use all the facilities on their property.

The cottage was perfect! It is set on the edge of Williton down a peaceful lane and it was idyllic waking up to the babbling stream, the call of seagulls and the occasional whistle of the majestic steam train. We had many long walks through the stunning quantock hills which were just a 15 minute drive away and through the glorious countryside to DoRead moreniford beach. The surrounding area has some good dog friendly pubs which serve delicious food and small village shops and a great bakery Hide

I had a lovely 4 night stay here. I was made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. The property is brand new and was a perfect size for me. Really easy to get to and then travel out to various sites from there. Planning on returning later in the year.

Quantock Room is a delightful, very well equipped, spotless little place. The kitchen area has everything you may need to prepare and cook meals. The enclosed terrace is a lovely spot for sitting out, my dog and I enjoyed relaxing out there at various times of the day, when it wasn't raining! Had a lovely few days here, even though it rained. Lovely clean, well equipped accommodation with quality furniture and very comfy bed. The position was quite rural and was lovely to walk over the owners land and by the stream. It is possible to walk from the accommodation to the coastal village of Watchet along the beach where you can find fossils. This little place is lovely. Its all brand new, very tastefully decorated and furnished and extremely well thought out. I cooked 2 out of the 4 nights we were there and found absolutely everything I needed in the kitchen. Bed is extremely comfortable and the shower is amazing.
