Set in the charming Sussex village of Bodiam, this property is just a short stroll from the local farm shop and pub. Beyond the village, the market town of Rye is well worth a visit with its selection of independent shops and cafes, while the nearby vineyards make for a great day out. The picture perfect Bodiam Castle can be seen from the showmans van and why not enjoy a trip on the Kent & Sussex Steam Railway to Tenterden, another pretty market town. For beach lovers, the fantastic Kent and East Sussex coastline is close by and for those looking to explore the local countryside there are many easily accessible footpaths. 5 minutes stroll within the grounds of Quarry Farm, there is also a café and farm shop, "The Hub" offering Wi-Fi, water sports, a beauty salon and many other facilities.

The newly refurbished 1980's former showman's living van was the accommodation for the fairground or circus owner which as used as a family home while they were on the road for the season.  The property is accessed by steps leading up to the veranda, with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.  Step through into the warm and cosy living area which is the perfect place to unwind after a long stroll in the countryside with two comfy armchairs and a TV/DVD. The compact but well appointed kitchen contains a dining area for two and a gas oven and hob,  and fridge. The bedroom is located at the other end of the accommodation with built-in hanging space and a double bed, and the property is completed with a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. There is an additional side room where coats and boots can be stored.

Outside, there is a covered veranda with a table and chairs which is a great space for entertaining and offers superb views over to Bodiam Castle, providing the perfect spot to relax and watch the sun go down at the end of a busy day. There is ample off-road parking next to the property.

Almost looking fabulous small retreat with excellent outside decking to expand the living space - we loved it! We will return!

Overall the property is lovely, in a great location and well appointed for privacy and peacefulness. The host was considerate and helpful and the he unit itself is unique. We had a lovely week.

Really quirky and different living in an ex showmans caravan. It was really nice spending time on the varander, and enjoying the view over the countryside.
