Superb detached house overlooking the South Wales coast, just yards from the popular beach itself, with everything you need on your doorstep, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a break any time of year.

Set in the simply splendid coastal village of Ogmore-by-Sea, lying between Southerndown and Porthcawl in the Vale of Glamorgan. This lesser-known village has a super beach, which is just yards from the property, enjoyed throughout the year by both families and surfers alike. There is a very popular cafe just along the road and a craft shop too. There are also excellent pubs serving food a short drive away. The coastal path offers breath-taking scenery in either direction. History buffs can visit Ogmore Castle which is a very short drive or perhaps visit the remains of Dunraven Castle and the walled garden in Southerndown. For the discerning shopper, Cowbridge is a short drive with a range of independent shops and Cardiff city is slightly further afield.

Laid across three floors to make the most of the wonderful sea views, you enter the hallway on the ground floor. On the ground floor there is a single bedroom with additional single pull-out bed and a bathroom with shower over bath and WC and a separate WC. There is also a second lounge with TV/DVD with fabulous sea views. Head down a half flight of open tread stairs to the main lounge, set on the lower ground floor. This super space has comfortable sofas, an open fire and stunning sea and beach views. The perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. Head across the small hallway to the kitchen, which again has great coastal views along with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. There is also a utility room with washing machine and fridge/freezer, that is also handy for keeping any surfing equipment tucked away. From the kitchen you can head through to the dining room which has floor to ceiling views and doors to the outside, so you can let the outside in during those warmer months. Back up the stairs to the ground floor and up an additional flight to the first floor, is where you will find the three further bedrooms, two doubles, and a further single bedroom, also with an additional single pull-out bed, all with excellent sea views.

Heading outside there is a patio and decked area with panoramic sea views, there perfect spot to enjoy the evening sun. There is off-road parking for two cars on the driveway.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Property was lovely , nothing was too much trouble for the caretaker . Views were as pictures on web . The road below the house could be a bit noisy at time and it was a quite a walk to get to the Actual waters edge . children enjoyed exploring the stony beaches and as winter didnt expect to swim but we didnt find any sand to play in nearby .

Great view out into the Bristol Channel. A good size house, and did enjoy the patio. Shop and excellent cafe nearby. Dunraven beach well worth going to though keep an eye on the tides. We had a 4 year old, just about coped with the stairs. But he enjoyed the space within the house. Would certainly go again.
