This lovingly refurbished lodge is situated in a stunning countryside setting, perfect for celebrating a special occasion with a loved one or a romantic getaway for two.

Located in the heart of the East Sussex countryside with outstanding rural views, this property is also within easy reach of the local pub. The lodge enjoys a beautiful and timeless view across to historic Bodiam Castle, which is managed by the National Trust and is well worth a visit. Hop on the nearby Kent and East Sussex railway and take a visit to the market town of Tenterden with its tree lined high street, and wide range of independent shops, restaurants and cafes. For keen walkers, there are ample local footpaths surrounding the property which are perfect to explore the surrounding areas and enjoy unspoilt views. 5 minutes stroll within the grounds of Quarry Farm, there is also a café and farm shop, "The Hub" offering Wi-Fi, water sports, a beauty salon and many other facilities.

From the veranda, enter through the patio doors into this delightful lodge into an open-plan lounge/ kitchen /diner, with large bay window with far reaching views. The cosy lounge features a comfy sofa, perfect for cosying up in front of the TV/DVD and watching a good film. The kitchen is contemporary and well-equipped with a gas oven and hob, microwave, and fridge, and has a breakfast bar and stools. Walk through to the romantic bedroom where there is a double bed and beyond this you will find the uniquely finished shower room with a large walk-in shower, twin basins and WC. The bespoke fittings throughout are made from oak salvaged from the woodland around the farm from the 1987 storm.

Outside, the covered veranda is the perfect spot to relax whilst enjoying a glass of bubbly in the hot tub (available between 1st April - 31st October), before dining alfresco on the patio table and chairs. A bench to the side of the lodge next to the chiminea offers views of the sunset - a perfect end to a perfect day. There is ample off-road parking next to the property.

Simply creative and exquisite. Disabled access with ease. Clean and fresh. Beautiful secluded private garden to while away your peaceful time with a good book and a bottle of good wine. We had an absolute lovely week. Tranquil setting with amazing views. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Good location for visiting local attractions. Lovely walks. Fabulous quirky, romantic lodge. The garden/outside space/decking and the hot tub are what makes this property but the inside is equally well thought out and well equipped, with a fabulous bathroom. Spent 4 nights at this property, whilst its in a nice location and very quiet. Place was in need of some TLC. Welcome pack poir 2 packets of crisps 4 t bags and 2 coffee sachets, hardly a welcome pack we must have missed out since other reviews stated they had a lovely welcome pack. No toiletries provided so bring your own shower gel, shampoo etc. Read moreOwner didnt give impression as welcoming, asked for a hairdryer he stated didnt like giving them as they used 2kw of electricity! We had the most relaxing, enjoyable stay at Golding Lodge. The lodge itself has everything you could possibly need, with the added bonus of a sheltered decking area with hot tub and private garden. The location is idyllic, with a view of the castle which is a short walk away. This is a great place to stay for dog owners and really is dog friendly -Read more we even arrived to a little welcome pack for the dog, complete with throw, towel, bags and treats, great touch! Awesome property - perfect for relaxing and taking in nature and the countryside. Attention to detail exceptional with a window in the trees to view Bodiam Castle and a seat on the patio to watch the sunset. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings made us reluctant to go out....will definitely be returning some time.

We both felt let down by this property. Which is a shame as it is private, has a beautiful garden and clearly well thought out. Additionally the bathroom was really well finished and a lovely double shower. But the kitchen was limited and the fridge, although 2 of, were like small beer fridges. One froze my salad and the other wasnt very cold. The Read moretable outside had a settee rather than chairs so you couldnt sit at it. The sun loungers had no cushions. The bed was uncomfortable. Stayed at Gouldings lodge for a week with my husband and dog. The lodge was very clean and comfortable. The garden was lovely and big. The view was wonderful. Very quiet and peaceful. A beautiful location and accommodation. Plenty of dog walking at your doorstep. The recommendations for local pubs was very useful (the white dog especially). A great place to relax and unwind.

Had a lovely relaxing time here with my two dogs. We all enjoyed the tranquillity and opportunities for walking around the farm without having to drive anywhere for a change. The Hub food was great , as was the service. We ate there every day! The lodge was spotlessly clean and welcoming. We are going back soon!

We had an absolutely amazing stay here. The lodge is perfect and the hot tub and view are breathtaking. We got a beautiful little welcome hamper, with teas, coffees, crisps and Johns homemade cider ( which is delicious). Which was a lovely thought. We couldn't of asked for more fir a romantic weekend away. Perfect

30th April 2021 to 4th May 2021 Absolutely beautiful the grounds the location the log cabin and the hot tub was amazing! The owners was so welcoming we felt looked after John's ciders was great the castle inn pub just round the corner and bodiam castle the hub was great lovely food and drinks overall was amazing definitely will be comming back

We had a wonderful stay at Goldings Lodge. It feels very private, the property has a high standard of finish inside, the surroundings are lovely and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. John was very helpful and his cider is delicious. Highly recommended!
