A characterful home-from-home, this property is just right for families or groups of friends looking to catch up on quality time and celebrate Dorset’s abundance of natural beauty.

Only 3.5 miles from Weymouth town centre, 1.5 miles from the beach at Bowleaze Cove and within striking distance of numerous countryside walks, this property offers the best of all worlds. Head into Weymouth town for a pick-up in pace. Dotted with shops, restaurants, cafes and more, you can head to the seafront for food with a view or souvenir-hunt along the little streets. For a classic summer holiday, pack a picnic and head to Weymouth Beach, popular amongst families for its shallow sea and soft sands.

A quaint end-terrace cottage, this charming bolthole retains an authentic sparkle with many original features. Step in through the lobby and leave your coats and boots behind. On the ground floor, the property has the added bonus of two lounge areas. The first is home to a sofa and armchair, as well as a Hi-Fi and gas fire. A great space for relaxing with your book, it is a warm, cosy space throughout the day. The second, larger lounge is connected to the kitchen/diner through a doorway. Equipped with two sofas and a chair, a TV and wood burner, the whole family can gather around for evenings together. Wandering into the kitchen, this homely space is well-presented with a dual fuel cooker tucked into a little nook framed by a wooden mantelpiece. Pumping heat out into the kitchen, you can cook something tasty for the gang whilst enjoying the atmosphere. Also in the kitchen is an ice-box fridge, a microwave, a dishwasher, a kettle and a toaster, and a large dining table. You can find the slim line chest freezer in the back lobby area. On the opposite side of the kitchen to the lounge entrance, there is another door that leads to the garden as well as a downstairs WC with a washing machine. Upstairs, the bedrooms comprise two twins and a king. There is also a family bathroom upstairs with a shower cubicle, a bath with an overhead shower, a WC and a heated towel rail.

To the front and side, gravel paths wrap themselves around the property walls, hugged by plants and flowers. There is secluded stone terrace, home to a BBQ and lawn area accessed across a shared rear path. The cottage benefits from parking for two cars.

Located in picturesque village and conveniently placed for local travel. Well appointed and comfortable cottage. Only disappointment was with car parking for the cottage as we thought the surface would be more substantial.

Our second visit to a very well located and comfortably appointed cottage. An excellent get-away-from-it-all for a recharging of the batteries. We hope to be back!
