Set between Beaminster (7 miles) to the north and Bridport (2.5 miles) to the south, the charming village of Salwayash makes a delightful, secluded base for a family exploring both the Dorset and East Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the Blackdown Hills also within easy reach (20 miles). Heading south you can reach the Jurassic Coast, with West Bay just five miles away. Going east along the coast you will reach Charmouth (9 miles) and the pretty town of Lyme Regis (12 miles), with Burton Bradstock (6 miles) to the west and Eype (5 miles) to the south. Heading inland you can visit Forde Abbey (11 miles), Eggardon Hill (8.5 miles) and Kingston Russell Stone Circle (14 miles).

This lovely property is situated in a former farmyard with five other converted barns nearby. On entering the cottage by the stable door, a hall leads you through and up a step to a light, spacious and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This stylish room features exposed ceiling beams, double-glazed patio doors and ceramic flooring. The lounge is an ideal space for relaxation, with comfortable seating perfect for snuggling up and watching a movie on the TV/DVD. You will find a charming dining area where you can enjoy a family meal, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, washing machine and a fridge with an ice compartment. A few steps lead down to the first bedroom which is a cosy double room. You will also find a bathroom on the ground floor complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. There’s a small twin bedroom with restricted height and which can be reached both via the internal staircase and by external steps leading to an old grain door.

Stepping outside you can relax in the rear enclosed garden, which has a patio area with seating, a small lawn and delightful views over a tree-studded wild valley, which is an ideal habitat for birds and butterflies. Off-road parking is available for two cars.

Lovely clean accommodation everything you needed for a week s stay Loved having some outside space for the dog For the area you do need a car ,the roads very narrow to walk on with dogs

This is a well equipped and comfortable cottage. Set in a quiet and peaceful location, but with plenty to see and do in the area. There are well kept communal grounds and good parking.

Couldn't fault the place the whole house was clean and comfortable - perfect! It was equipped with everything you would ever need we stayed as a family of 4 and it was faultless can't wait to return
