Fabulous week at Blackbird Barn, great location for days out. Jane is a great host, at the end of the phone if you need her. Ignore bad reviews about beds or settee, all very comfy. Local community very welcoming, small shop, park for dog and Red Lion pub all minutes away.

Blackbird barn is a lovely cottage tucked away in a quiet cul de sac, maintained to the highest standards by an equally lovely couple who we met on arrival fortunately, (we were a bit early). Under the present circumstances we're happy to be able to say that the neighbours were friendly and welcoming (not easy to be) as we've heard some "locals" arRead moree not as friendly, a big plus for visitors in Winbrook Fold. We will certainly be coming back for our third visit next year. Hoping for normal! Hide

In general, this house is lovely. The front room is cosy & comfortable. We had awful weather but the open fire was a welcome relief, as was the warmth of the Aga. We stayed at Blackbird Barn while builders were in our house. It was cosy, clean and well equipped. We both felt it was like home from home. Location is perfect for visiting Lulworth, Durdle Door, Weymouth, Dorchester and further afield. A beautiful part of the country even in the winter.

The cottage was really lovely, spacious and well equipped. The bottle of wine and tea and coffee, milk and biscuits was a really welcoming touch and much appreciated. We loved the village too, especially the shop which is excellent.

Blackbird Barn has all that you need for a home from home holiday. It is very well equiped and very dog friendly. There is a field just across the road to exercise the dog and a village shop. It is a good jumping off spot for many local places of interest and quiet nights in are made very cosy by the lovely log fire. Highly recommended.
