Traditionally-built modern stone cottage with all the charm and character of a period property, whilst maintaining modern style and comfort inside.

Located in the popular town of Swanage, this property is situated at the top of a hill and conveniently located for the friendly pub next door! The beach is only a half mile walk from the property, excellent for beach days out or walking the dog in the early morning. The bustling town of Swanage offers a wide range of activities and things to see and do including Durlston Country Park and a variety of coastal walks. There is a wealth of walks in the area, with different levels suitable for people of all abilities.

The property is laid out over three floors and is entered via five steps up into the hall which has storage for coats and boots. The kitchen/dining room is well-equipped with granite worktops and a tiled floor. French doors lead to the courtyard garden and this whole area provides an excellent space for family entertaining and dining. There is also a downstairs WC. On the first floor of the property is a double-aspect sitting room benefiting from views of the surrounding area of Swanage Bay and Ballard Down.There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on this level also. On the second floor, which has reduced ceiling height in the eaves, there is a large double bedroom with stunning views and a bathroom with bath, WC and basin.

The outside area of this cottage has a small front terrace edged with iron railings and decorated with a few shrubs. The larger rear courtyard garden is paved and has a Purbeck stone wall, stunning Elaeagnus tree and herb planters.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Crabstones was quite nice but would not stay there again as from the front of the house you were straight onto the road plus parking getting in and out not easy.

An ideal house for a family with a dog - excellent beds and a well furnished kitchen which had all the cooking utensils you would ever need. In a quet location even though next door to a pub. A spotless house that was clealry well looked after by the housekeeper

Great cottage, excellent location (pub, shop close by and Swanage centre easily accessed). 3 good bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (plus extra toilet). Would have preferred a shower in ensuite, otherwise excellent.

A lovely house which is well located near to the town centre. It is right next door to a lovely pub which has a very good food trade, including in the garden, so be prepared for some noise from the garden. However, this doesn't detract from the property. Absolutely fabulous property in a fantastic location just a short downhill walk to the shops, bus station and sea. With the Black Swan pub next door serving a fab gammon steak and Arkwrights mini supermarket a couple of hundred yards away you won't go hungry. hello this was the third time we have used crabstones each time in december , house was as good as normal , the only complaint we have is there was no christmas tree this year .

1st class finish to house excellent fittings - very comfortable. Main criticisms :- terrible hot water supply to kitchen sink - it just didnt get hot. Couldnt find a way to use both ovens at once. Shower temperature inconsistent. Otherwise really good and would visit again. Good location for touring Dorset. Pub next door serves excellent food.
