Located on the quiet lane that leads to the coast at Seatown, this property is less than a mile from this privately-owned shingle beach. Popular among fossil collectors, fishermen and families alike, Seatown is perfect for a long walk along the beach before breakfast. A short drive will bring you to the bustling town of Bridport, home to an array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, perfect for stocking up on supplies. No trip to this part of Dorset is complete without a visit to the Broadchurch-famous West Bay, which is also known as the golden gateway to the stunning Dorset Jurassic Coast.

Three steps lead up to a stable door that opens into the stunning double aspect lounge/diner. With a tiled floor, stylish spotlights and fresh neutral decor, this is a charming room for dining and relaxing. In one corner, a cosy lounge area is furnished with comfortable leather sofas, a coffee table, Smart TV and stocked bookshelf, with a pine farmhouse dining table at the other. A bespoke kitchen beyond features a tiled floor, stylish units, gas oven and hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Also on this floor is a modern shower room with tiled floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double with exposed beam and elegant wrought-iron bed and one twin with a charming slanted ceiling and pretty cottage window.

Outside there is a sunny private patio with rattan furniture for enjoying tasty al fresco meals in the warmer months. There is parking available for 1 small car, further parking at the local shop can be found a couple of minutes’ walk away for £1 a day and is subject to availability.

The property is well appointed and in excellent condition. It is spacious, clean,comfortable and generously equipped. There are excellent pubs nearby and stunning walks from the doorstep. Also,a bus service runs through the village connecting with several towns and villages on the Jurassic Coast.

Lovely, comfortable and cosy cottage, in perfect location for us. A couple of great pubs/restaurants serving delicious food and both within walking distance from the cottage.

Fantastic cottage, nice and clean and extremely comfortable. Had everything you need for self catering. Lovely, welcoming hosts, who, although live next door, were very discreet. Location was perfect, walk to beach in 12 mins, good pub grub on doorstep and plenty to do.

We had a really lovely week at Midlands Barn. The cottage has everything you could ever need as well as friendly, helpful hosts. Fortunately we had beautiful weather so were out and about most of the time but the cottage was a welcoming place to return to in the evenings. Well placed for the coast path and the stunning Marshwood Vale (if you don't Read moremind hills) as well as the nearby villages such as Lyme Regis and Abbotsbury so there is no shortage of things to do in the area. Thoroughly relaxing and wonderful week at Midlands Barn. Beautiful, comfortable cottage. Perfect location within walking distance of beach, coast walks and pubs. Good local bus service close by. Warm welcome from owners and choccies and wine very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cottage in the quiet village of Chideock within walking distance of the beach, with 3 pubs, a convenience store and farm shop within a mile radius.
