This idyllic getaway is in the heart of the stunning Jurassic Coast and in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, perfect for families and couples. Enjoy country strolls and coastal adventures.

Being less than a mile from the sea, this well-appointed property is within easy reach of a multitude of activities. Located a few steps from the cottage is a bridleway which leads you down to the beach, cliffs and pub at Seatown, so you can enjoy early morning strolls to see the sunrise or evening rambles at sunset. The village of Chideock offers easy access to the rest of West Dorset, from Lyme Regis (7 miles) to Weymouth (22 miles), and access to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast is available at a number of places. The popular seaside resort of West Bay is just 4 miles away, with its bustling harbour and expansive beach made famous by TV series Broadchurch. Charmouth is 5 miles west and has a popular fossil-hunting beach with hammers and goggles available to hire. Further west again is Lyme Regis, a seaside town with a range of independent shops and eateries as well as a family-friendly beach. Located within the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with the World Heritage Jurassic Coast on your doorstep, there is plenty for families to explore together.

Sat at the end of a row of cottages in a quiet no-through lane, this stylish property provides a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Entering through the traditional cottage door, step into the lounge/diner where you can settle down in front of the Smart TV after a day out exploring. There is ample room to enjoy leisurely meals around the dining table whilst planning your days ahead. Heading through the lounge/dining room you will find the contemporary kitchen where you can prepare your favourite meals whilst admiring the views out to the garden. The kitchen offers an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, espresso machine and washing machine. A door from the kitchen leads out to the garden. Steep, cottage-style stairs lead upstairs to three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and is a bright and airy dual aspect room. There are two further cosy bedrooms, one with a small double bed (accessed on one side) and the other with a single bed. Completing the first floor is the bathroom (accessed via one step up), which has a bath with a shower over, a WC and a heated towel rail.

To the rear of the cottage, you can enjoy the enclosed garden with table and chairs. Step onto the patio in the morning, hands wrapped around a steaming mug of coffee, and listen to the chorus of birdsong. Beyond the cottage, the lane gives way to a bridleway that leads you to the village pub and beach at Seatown.

This is the second time at Meadow Cottage, enjoyed it so much first time around, we came back. Love the layout of the cottage and garden, and great location for discovering the local area. Dont need to go far, lots to do nearby, for everyone, and the owner, Leslie, always happy to help if needed. Will be back for another visit next year.

Really nice cottage in a great location. Very picturesque and a beautiful spot. The only two downsides are 1. only one and a very noisy toilet, 2. challenging for tall people. We are all 178cm+ and spent the first few days banging our heads on the low door lintels. We spent the rest of the times permanently stooped.
