A thatched cottage with contemporary interiors, this home from home is just right for those looking to indulge in a solo break or romantic getaway.

Located just across the road from the Dorset Flapjack Company and less than 200 yards from a great local inn, you will be spoilt for choice for tasty treats throughout the day. Start your day with some freshly baked goodies and a hot cup of tea, before exploring the locale. 5 miles from Lulworth Cove, a trip to this iconic bay is a must. For an insight into local history, pay Lulworth Castle a visit too, also 5 miles away.

A picture-postcard property, this cottage is accessed via a short wooden bridge over a shallow stream. Step over the bridge and along the garden pathway through the shared front garden and cross the threshold into your dream getaway. Leaving your boots and coats in the flagstone hallway, you can then enter the bright and airy lounge/diner. Here, a sofa for two and an armchair invite you to rest your legs. A TV/DVD player adds an extra option for evening entertainment, whilst the coal-effect electric fire is a brilliant addition for chillier, winter evenings. Peppered with original features, the space manages to blend traditional charm with plenty of modern comforts. From the lounge you can access the property’s kitchen. Affording garden views and equipped with everything you could need, from oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, to washing machine and more, it is a pleasant space for both cooking and socialising. Heading upstairs you will come to the bathroom, including bath with overhead shower and WC. Also upstairs is the bedroom with slightly reduced head height in the eaves, complete with a double bed and TV.

To the front of the property, a shared garden with lawn looks over the pretty stream, home to many resident ducks. To the rear, a private garden with shared access has outside seating for al fresco feasts, as well as a water feature and a border of flowers and trees.

A gorgeous cottage in a lovely village extremely close to the railway station, bakery, supermarket and 2 pubs. It was a home from home with all the mod cons. It felt very safe. A perfect location for the Tank Museum, Monkey World and Lulworth Castle. We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone planning to visit the area.

Managed to find a sheltered spot in the sunshine out of the wind to read my book! The nearest pub wasnt up to much but The Ship Inn was within walking distance and did lovely food would recommend.

It was a really lovely cottage in an amazing village, with plenty to see and do in the area. The cottage was ideal for the dog as it had an area under cover to dry her off when we returned from some muddy walks and a secure enclosed garden. The cottage had everything we needed and we enjoy our week there despite the weather.
