Just a couple of miles from the heart of the thriving Georgian market town of Bridport, this stunning penthouse is perfect for exploring the West Dorset coast. Bridport itself has a lovely variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, and is known as the gateway to Dorset’s ancient Jurassic Coast, with plenty of opportunities for keen fossil hunters nearby. There are also miles of beautiful beaches, including West Bay (0.1 mile), Eype (1 mile), Charmouth (7 miles) and Burton Bradstock (2 miles). As well as beautiful beaches there’s also plenty to discover inland, including quaint villages and landmarks including Forde Abbey (13.5 miles), the Iron Age fort at Eggardon Hill (7.5 miles) and the Kingston Russell Stone Circle (10 miles).

This light-filled penthouse can be found on the third floor and is accessed via stairs or a lift. On entering you will discover the bright, triple-aspect open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With double-height ceiling and floor-to-ceiling picture windows offering breathtaking views over the harbour and out to sea, this is a fantastic space to relax in. The apartment is modern and comfortable. The harbour setting and outlook is stunning and something I'd never tire of. Rachel, the housekeeper, couldn't have been more helpful or thoughtful throughout our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The Penthouse was fantastic, right from arrival with the lovely welcome touches by the housekeeper, to the facilities, decor & comfort. A really great location to relax in, yet with views of the hubbub of the harbour life below. The exterior has a wrap-around balcony so that different views of West Bay can be taken in. Absolutely excellent comfortable apartment where you can watch the world go by.

We caught some very rainy and windy weather, the beach was undergoing sea defence upgrade with 30,000 tonnes of rock being transferred from the sea rafts to the beach - very noisy. We used the holiday to recharge batteries, and this we did despite the obstacles. The apartment was great, the local food and beer first class, the rest a recuperation qRead moreuickly followed.
