With trees as a backdrop, cast off your shoes and relax on your own private balcony. Only a short stroll from the centre of the bustling town of Bowness, on the edge of Lake Windermere.

Bowness-on-Windermere is a great place to enjoy browsing the shops and perhaps stocking up on picnic supplies before hiring a boat on the water or hop on board one of the leisure cruises which run up and down Windermere at a relaxing pace. Lake Windermere is an easy walk away for lake cruises, boat hire and there are numerous walks from the door including Orrest Head and many more.

Access this property up a flight of steps and through the front door. Once through the front door, you will find yourself in the welcoming hallway in the reverse-level property. On the ground floor you will find the bedrooms, one king-size and one double bedroom, both with plenty of storage and a single bedroom. Finishing the ground floor is the contemporary shower room with shower and WC. The first floor of the property has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with private balcony off the lounge. The lounge area has comfy sofas, TV with Blu-ray and large patio doors opening onto the balcony. The dining area has seating for six, whilst the bright well-equipped kitchen area offers everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals, including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave.

Head outside to the balcony from the lounge, where you can sit and relax and enjoy being the same height as the leaves on the trees. There is parking available to the front of the property for two cars.

Just a couple of minutes away from the town centre, but a lovely leafy aspect from the huge windows in the living room. The open plan living space suited us well. The kitchen is small but well equipped. Bedrooms are also compact, and just the one bathroom. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here.

The exterior first impression is not the best but dont be put off as inside the property is well equipped and very comfortable. We stayed as a couple and it served our needs perfectly but the single toilet/shower might be a disadvantage for larger parties.

Close to the town centre. All the home comforts you need for a short break. Clean and well maintained with good covid precautions. Very accommodating and friendly host. If you want to stay in Bowness, happy to recommend. I'd come again in a heartbeat Thank you x

Great sized property for a family holiday and the location is very close to local amenities Bowness Pier. Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Great property, a little bit dated but we still loved it! Well equipped and comfy beds. Great location for central Bowness, the road is very noisy but we didn't might it too much. All in all a really nice property.

Quarry Brow is a clean tidy place to stay, comfortable beds. With all the things you need and a great location only a few minutes walk from bowness, plenty of food choices, good shops and windermere pier only few minutes more down the road,, would stop there again

The property was clean and well located, the only negative item was the decor of the hall and stairs whilst practical, it was very dark and a bit dated in the use of wood panelling. The upside down layout took some getting used to but worked well with a superb modern bathroom. This is an ideal location for getting out and about being only a short wRead morealk from the town centre and local shops, with the excellent Booths supermarket in Windermere a short 5 minute drive away. The property won't win any beauty contests nor does it offer wonderful views but it does provide practical and comfortable accommodation a few minutes walk from the centre of Bowness and served us well.
