The popular seaside town of Bude is just slightly further afield and boasts a wide range of independent shops, restaurants, bars and a choice of three sandy beaches plus many more leisure facilities. Alternatively, head further along the coast on either the Cornish or Devon side and explore the rugged coastline and numerous picturesque fishing villages such as Hartland, Clovelly, Boscastle and Port Isaac. Other attractions accessible from here include Trethorne Leisure Park and Tamar Lakes offering a wealth of water sports, superb fishing and great walks.

This stunning collection of properties is set at the end of a long private drive and pretty duck pond on one side. Lovely accommodation. Very quiet so can hear lots of birds when French doors open. Be aware of steps to access property. Great location but some beaches have pebbly access which may not be suitable for those with any mobility issue. Plenty of choice within Kilkhampton for food supplies and meals. Can recommend the New Inn and cafs at both SandymoutRead moreh and Upper Tamar Lake Hide

Lovely comfortable place, one of 4 holiday lets in Old Rectory complex in own grounds. More spacious than appears on photos, very well equipped, and plenty of outdoor space with seating. We had a small problem which the owner Paul fixed immediately. My friend is already planning her next visit!

The house was beautiful as were the grounds and easy access to walk the dog. It was great for the kids as there was plenty for them to do in the surrounding area although it can be quite expensive. The house was sufficient for what we needed although they require a pizza cutter. The bed and sofa are uncomfortable but are ok for a week. The only reaRead morel downside is that they dont recycle so we had to take our recycle rubbish to the local recycle centre down the road. Overall a lovely week away. Hide
