 A detached property with a homely feel; enjoy your favourite creature comforts, a private garden and endless scenery. Explore the heritage, culture and countryside in Mid Wales and its borders.

The nearby town of Presteigne boasts a monthly market, local produce, shops, pubs, eateries and a varied events programme including the popular arts and music festival and the vintage car weekend. Should you wish to further explore the area you can visit the Judge's Lodgings, National Trust's Croft Castle or Berrington Court and Gardens, or other medieval castles at Ludlow or Stokesay. Other places of interest in the local area include the 'black and white trail', the Elan Reservoir, the Shropshire Hills, and the towns of Leominster, Hay-on-Wye and Ludlow. There are historic sites to see, cultural events to attend, culinary delights to savour and activities such as walking, cycling and horse riding to enjoy. In 2019 this cottage was creatively refurbished to foster a luxurious home from home location. The front door opens onto the kitchen/diner with high ceilings, exposed beams and is perfect for an evening of board games in front of the roaring log burner (first basket of logs kindly left ready for use). The kitchen is well-equipped including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine and there is a large dining table with plenty of space to enjoy a feast. As you move into the spacious lounge there is a coal effect electric fire, comfy sofas and Smart TV/DVD, perfect for tranquil nights in watching some of your favourite classic films or you can open the French doors to the private garden and enjoy a charcoal BBQ on the patio. On the ground floor you will also find a stylish bathroom, with shower over bath and WC. Head up the spiral staircase to the first floor where you will come across a shower room with shower and WC and two bedrooms to choose from. The first is a king-size bedroom and the second, the twin zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request at time of booking).

Set in a 13.5-acre smallholding, you can relax in the private garden and enjoy the charcoal BBQ or adventure out along one of the many footpaths located within walking distance of your front door. If you prefer cycling to walking there is a lockable bike store on the property and plenty of adventurous terrain and hills to enjoy.

There is ample parking to the front of Badgers Drift, please note that the property is located near to the owners home although privacy is assured.

Lovely spacious property, perfect for dogs. Beautiful location, stunning views when dog walking. Short drive to local village, great pub for Sunday Lunch. Hosts very friendly, would definitely recommend.

Beautiful cottage and fantastic scenery, our 3 labs thoroughly enjoyed they're trip away and so did we. The cottage is very cosy and homely with everything you need. We loved seeing all the livestock on the farm which surrounded the cottage. Had super days out to Ludlow, hay-on-wye, Leominster to name a few. So much to see and do within the area anRead mored spectacular scenery. Presteign village are worth a visit and food in the Radnorshire Arms amazing with a lovely beer garden. Will definitely return! Fabulous cottage located in the beautiful peacefully Welsh countryside. The cottage was like home from home with everything you could possibly need, and well located to explore the Offas dyke trail and mid Wales. Thank you to our hosts for a lovely family holiday.

A charming, spacious cottage with a lovely garden. We had a fantastic time at this wonderful cottage. The setting is sublime, so quiet and peaceful. The cottage is well equipped and cozy, had everything we needed and more. The livestock were endlessly entertaining, cottage guide is super and we did all the walks suggested including 3 from the gate. Scenery everywhere is fabulous and we and 2 dogs lRead moreoved exploring the little towns, Iron Age settlements. Etc. so much is within an easy drive, stand out for us was the Hergest ridge walk. Just spent a great week at Badgers Drift. Had some wonderful walks, discovered the Elan Valley, went to Ludlow, visited Aberystwyth for the day and other local towns. The cottage is well equipped and was a very comfortable base for our holiday.

Wonderful holiday home with everything you need. The location is beautiful, set in a peaceful rural location. Much bigger than we expected with more than enough room for 4 adults. Charming garden with benches and dining table to enjoy.

This cottage is a gem - comfortable, spacious, well equipped, nicely furnished, bright and spotlessly clean. The garden is lovely and perfect for dogs too. The owners are very friendly and helpful but never intrusive, their horses, goats, ducks and chickens are delightful and add to the ambience. We loved Badger's Drift, it was home from home. The dog and children were immediately comfortable and we cooked all our meals in the kitchen. Comfortable beds and thoughtful touches like dog towels and blankets were provided. Absolutely loved our week.. we were so chilled and if we didn't want to do anything it was comfortable to spend time at home. Our dogs were obsessed by the neighbour chickens and often went out to meet them. We saw wildlife in the field from the lounge and wild birds flying over. Perfect comfy cottage for a family get away!!. Totally off the beaten track and some fair dog walks. Ludlow is about 40 mins drive and quaint. The farm is lovely and the owners are so welcoming.. The chickens are super friendly. The cottage was very well equipped with EVERTHING we could have needed. Thank you for a great stay.
