Set within a picturesque village in a conservation area, this pretty brick and flint cottage is ideally placed for spending relaxed days exploring beautiful West Dorset and the Jurassic Coast

This beautifully renovated Victorian cottage is well positioned on a quiet lane within the village of Bradpole. For a relaxing day out there are a choice of lovely beaches nearby, including West Bay, Eype, Charmouth and Burton Bradstock. Or perhaps take a trip to the nearby market town of Bridport where you will find a bustling high street including an eclectic selection of boutique shops selling antiques and vintage curios, as well as essential supplies. With easy access to the South West Coast Path this property is also ideal for those wishing to take in the stunning surroundings on foot. The picture postcard village of Abbotsbury is well worth a visit with a popular Swannery and Sub Tropical Gardens to explore.

A small path leads through the beautiful cottage garden to the front door. Once inside you are met with an inviting hallway, with plenty of storage for boots and coats as well as a wonderful tiled floor. Immediately to your left is the dining room. With a feature fireplace and a light and bright ambience courtesy of the beautiful original sash window, this is the perfect spot in which to enjoy leisurely meals. Just next door is the stylish lounge, which offers comfortable seating and lovely period wooden shutters, making it the ideal spot to relax after a day spent exploring. Why not turn on the electric feature fire and settle down in front of your favourite programme on the Smart TV or watch a DVD. Leading on from here is the kitchen/diner, which is well-equipped for the best of cooks with an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge with ice compartment and compact freezer. A table here is the perfect place to take your morning coffee, accompanied by the sound of birdsong. When the day is done head back into the hallway and up the stairs to the first floor. Here you will find a bright and airy double bedroom decorated with care in calming colours to ensure a restful sleep. Next step into the adjacent twin room with its stripped wooden floor and elegant nautical style, which will appeal to both adults and children alike. The bedrooms both share the stylish bathroom with WC, where you can take a soak in the bath or enjoy the separate shower.

To the rear of the cottage is a pretty enclosed garden with lawn, decking complete with garden furniture perfect for dining outdoors, plus a further gravel patio and charcoal BBQ. Seek out the secluded courtyard tucked at the bottom of the garden, where you can truly get away from it all. The cottage was very nice, clean and well equipped. The locations is suitable for going either west or east along the coast. We did not use any of the local pubs/restaurants due to Covid, however we did use restaurants in West Bay a couple in Burton Bradstock at lunchtime. Each of the restuarants were well organised for visitors with Track and TracRead moree being taken as well as restrictions in numbers. The weather was extremely poor but it was October. Hide

This cottage is a little gem in south dorset. Very comfortable, well- equipped and accessible to lots of beaches and places to explore. A larger fridge freezer would be the only thing that would be more helpful for those who like to do a large shop at the start of a week. We will definitely be returning. Fabulous place.

Neat little cottage, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Good to have a smart tv. The garden was delightful and lovely to sit in and relax. Our dog enjoyed the riverside walks especially in the hot weather. Beaches readily accessible after a short drive.

The cottage was beautifully clean & very well equipped, warm and comfortable and a lovely village setting. There is a lovely enclosed rear garden which was lovely to relax in, even this early in the year, and safe for our dog. It is an easy flat walk into Bridport via footpaths by the river. West bay is in easy reach either walking or a short driveRead more. A well stocked little store and post office in the village is really handy. We would without doubt stay again and thoroughly recommend it. Hide

The cottage was spotlessly clean, everything you could possibly need was there and the beds were so comfortable - this is very important as we have been to some holiday cottages where they are certainly not! It is beautifully decorated, and there were games and books for children and adults. The garden is enclosed and very pretty. There are lots ofRead more lovely places to visit nearby. Hide
