Countryside retreat for couples and small families wanting to explore the Lincolnshire Wolds, with stunning views from the cottage this is a great base for those who want to get away from it all.

Due to its countryside location, there are ample nature laden walks, so bring your walking boots, there are miles of country lanes with flat and hilly options, perfect for those who prefer life on two wheels. Lincolnshire is steeped in history, Louth, Brigg and Horncastle are bustling local market towns and Alford is a lovely, small historical town. Other places of interest are Lincoln, a stunning historic town with cathedral, castle and Magna Carta, and the cities of Hull, Beverly, and York are also within easy reach. There are miles of sandy beaches and nature reserves that are unique to Lincolnshire, and is a must for nature lovers. The seals visit the coast every year at Donna Nook and it makes a great day out for the family.

Stepping into the cottage into the hallway, drop off your coats and boots and wander through to the bright and airy kitchen/diner with everything you need to rustle up a great meal for your loved ones. There is an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Take lazy breakfasts at the nearby dining table and planning the day’s activities ahead. Heading through to the lounge, you will find comfy sofas and a TV/DVD to relax in front of. Completing the ground floor is the separate WC and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.  Cottage style stairs lead upstairs.  On the first floor, the cottage offers two bedrooms, a spacious double with complimenting furniture and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and built in wardrobe. The other bedroom is a single with additional single pull-out bed, decorated with pretty pastel tones to provide a relaxing space for a good night’s rest.

Outside the enclosed garden offers a spacious patio area with outdoor seating and BBQ, perfect for dining alfresco through the warmer months. There is ample off-road parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Kate could not be be more helpful. She is welcoming and friendly. What a brilliant find! This cottage is so perfect for dog owners even down to the field adjoining the cottage-Mollys own play space! This was an amazing cottage in a tranquil location about a mile out of Normandy le Wold. The cottage was well equipped with everything you would need for a weeks break. There were some great walking and cycling paths in the near vicinity, lovely villages and places to visit . The owner left us a welcome pack which was a lovely surprise. Lovely cottage - great location. A haven of peace and tranquility with all mod cons - comfy bed, loads of hot water for showers and central heating for the chilly autumn mornings/evenings. Top cottage was a lovely retreat for the three of us and our dog. A very peaceful location situated next to the farm. There was stunning scenery from the cottage windows and our dog loved all the open spaces, especially the field adjacent. Kate provided a very clean and well equipped property. Top Cottage has a remote location but within easy reach of key amenities and tourist attractions. It is very well equipped, with all kitchen appliances, DVD player and free view TV and was beautifully presented on arrival. Kate also left us a welcome basket which was very useful. We can highly recommend this cottage for a family holiday.

In my opinion, there are three things you need for a good awayspace. Cleanliness, Comfy bed and a good shower. Absolutely fantastic place to stay, everything you would need from the welcome pack to the comfy sofa. Location was great for us being lovely and quiet with walks or bike rides from the door. The pub in Rothwell serves gorgeous food and is a short but great walk from the cottage. The TV and DVD are very new and the WIFI is spot on. We ate outside aRead more few times on the sunny terrace. lovley cottage in a peaceful , beautiful setting .Perfect if you want to get away from it all . Whilst there we enjoyed walks and bike rides exploring this lovely part of the country . The cottage is in a lovely peaceful location with lots of wildlife all around. Very extensive parking and secluded location. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The overall impression was that it was immaculate and had excellent equipment.
