This spacious apartment offers beautiful views across the Lyth Valley and is nestled in the village of Crosthwaite with lots to see and do within easy reach.

Set in the stunning main building of Crosthwaite House, dating back to 1750, this property is in the beautiful Lake District National Park with stunning views across the Lyth Valley, that are a joy to behold, set between the shores of Lake Windermere and the historic town of Kendal. A short drive from the property will bring visitors to the shore of Lake Windermere and the lakeside town of Bowness, which is an ideal location to try out a variety of water sports. If you prefer, you can explore the local area and visit the many different attractions which there is no shortage of. Kendal is a great location for a bit of shopping with a variety of outlets and historic buildings. It also boasts castles, and two museums which are perfect for a family day out. While set within the owners grounds, it's self-contained and privacy is assured.

On entering this Grade II listed Georgian property up a few stone steps, you will arrive in the well-equipped kitchen/diner with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, two fridges (with freezer compartments), dishwasher and washer/dryer. Heading on straight through is the lounge, with a cosy wood burner, Smart TV / DVD  and amazing views across the valley. Exit the lounge to the right into the hall where you will find the three bedrooms, the first is a double room with valley views and an en suite shower room and WC. The second bedroom is a king-size room which continues with the amazing views and also boasts an en-suite shower room and WC. The third bedroom is a super-king size bed (which can be made up as a twin on request) and again offers an en-suite shower room and WC.

Leading back out from the kitchen you arrive in the quaint garden, which consist of a patio area with seating and a BBQ, beyond there is a grass area with a small vegetable patch. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Fantastic accommodation, spacious and homely with everything we needed! Beds were very comfortable and having an en-suite in every room was ideal. The views from the house were beautiful, very peaceful location and Lake Windermere only a short drive away aswel as lots of lovely walks to do. Pub 2 minutes walk away and others a short drive, food at Read morethe Mason Arms was amazing! Would highly recommend Crosthwaite House for a holiday in the Lakes, we definitely hope to return soon. It was perfect for our family of 6. The three bedrooms each had their own bathroom, living area is spacious and we could all fit easily round the table at dinner time. Hannah the owner is lovely and left us to it for the week, but was also on hand for any queries. Situated near the town of Kendal and Lake Windermere just a 15 min drive away. There'Read mores a pub/restaurant a short walk away and a children's playground which the kids loved. Would definitely consider booking this property again. Hide

Fabulous rural location with far reaching views , not to far from Kendal and Windermere (15 mins drive) and fabulous pubs within walking or 5 minutes drive. Some great walks from the house or 2-10 minutes drive away. Hannah and her family were available in case they were needed but otherwise they left us completely alone to enjoy the property. It is an easy drive to the Lakes and country houses and walks but away from the holiday crowds. There are no shops or street lighting and the planes fly high and unheard. Parking is excellent. The pub boasts a terrific reRead morestaurant, not inexpensive but an event and worth booking up in advance. It is a truly lovely place run by tremendously nice people. Highly recommended Hide

We had a lovely time staying in Crosthwaite House. The rooms were spacious and the house was well equipped and very clean. There were essentials on arrival such as tea, coffee, milk, sugar so we could enjoy a cup before going out to the shops! Middle Floor is a very well equipped apartment situated in an ideal location for the Southern Lakes. The apartment is very peaceful and it is surrounded by the lovely rolling countryside. There are handful of really good pub/restaurants within 5 to 10 mins drive and one reassuringly expensive pub on the doorstep.
