In a pretty Yorkshire village, nestled between such an array of possible attractions to explore across East Yorkshire, this can be a great base for your luxury retreat.

This cosy cottage is located in an enviable position in Lund, which is a small village with a traditional pub and restaurant within walking distance. This delightful part of Yorkshire is criss-crossed with fantastic walks and cycle opportunities. The Wolds Way is in easy reach and there are an abundance of National Trails and cycle routes, including those forming part of the Big Skies Bike Rides. If you are looking for a day exploring the East Yorkshire coastline, whether you like to catch your breath looking out from the dramatic chalk cliffs at Flamborough Head, watching the wildlife at Bempton Cliffs, or going for an amble along the sandy beaches nearby, you are spoilt for choice. Head 9 miles South to Beverley for a meander round the charming streets of this market town and visit the gothic Beverley Minster. A little further away to the West of Lund, is the beautiful historic City of York. York is renowned for its quirky cobbled streets and quaint bespoke shops set amongst medieval architecture and is packed with things to see and do.

When entering the property, you will find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is well-equipped to prepare a family meal. There is an electric oven and hob, a fridge with freezer compartment. There is also a dishwasher to save you from the washing up. So, after enjoying that home cooked meal together at the dining table, head straight to the lounge area, sink into the sofa, sit back and relax in front of the cosy wood-burner. From the lounge, there are patio doors leading outside. Completing the ground floor, is the separate WC with utility area housing the washing machine. Heading up the wooden stairs to the first floor, there are two bedrooms; a super-king-size zip-and link bed and a king-size. Also, on the first floor is the bathroom with bath.

Stepping outside from the patio doors on to the patio area where you will find garden furniture to sit and enjoy al fresco dining whilst overlooking the large enclosed garden. There is off-road parking for up to two cars. There is additional roadside parking in the village which is subject to availability.

Beautiful cosy cottage in sleepy Lund. It's been renovated really well making a super comfy open plan living space with spacious bedrooms. Really well equipped and very homely!

We had a fabulous stay, the accommodation is spotlessly clean and upon arrival we were greeted by the owners who live nearby which is handy if you need any assistance with anything. The garden is large and dog friendly. Lovely pub in the village. Would highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely return again.

The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all necessities. The bath is amazing - I loved laying in it at night with a glass of wine and a book - perfect way to relax after a day out. The cottage is in the perfect location to venture out to the coast, on our bikes and to Read moredo some retail therapy. Had a fantastic meal in the village pub (The Wellington) - not cheap but the food was well worth the price. Hide

We booked at short notice to be close to other family members who were staying nearby. Facilities were excellent in every respect - huge, comfortable beds with every facility you could need as your home away from home. The patio and lawned area is perfect on a warm day/evening.

Lovely, comfortable, clean cottage. Nice large enclosed garden where we could let the dog run free. Welcome package: bread, eggs homemade apple juice (which was lovely), milk , tea, coffee, sugar and some lovely cookies. Our dog wasn't left out either with the added nice touch of treats, poo bags and some towels to dry him. Be careful of the beds, Read morethey are on castors and tend to move easily. Owners are were wonderful, very welcoming and helpful. Hide
