The village of Litton Cheney is a peaceful spot nestling in the Bride Valley, tranquil yet convenient, with a popular pub on offer. Heading south, you will find the stunning Jurassic Coastline, A UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a choice of beaches within easy reach. There are many pretty towns and villages to explore locally, including Abbotsbury, home to subtropical gardens and a swannery, plus Lyme Regis with its picture-postcard streets and characterful houses. It is equally well-placed for visiting the market town of Bridport, which provides off-beat independent shops and entertainment, and the county town of Dorchester with its two cinemas, shops and local history museums. Those wishing to be active will find many walking and cycling routes nearby.
A steep hillside path leads you from the parking area to the main entrance into this terraced cottage. Once inside you are met by a welcoming entrance hall. To the left of the entrance door is a cosy study, with space to relax with a book. Next is the light and bright lounge, which is the perfect spot to unwind in front of your favourite programmes on the Smart TV/DVD or play one of the board games provided, whilst warming yourself beside the wood burner. There are lovely views from here over the beautiful cottage garden and down into the valley and the hills beyond. Heading on from here you will find the stylish kitchen/diner, which is well-equipped with an electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Adjacent is a handy utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Once through the utility room there is a bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. Heading back into the lounge you will access the winding stairs leading up to the first floor, lined with beautiful original artworks painted by a previous resident of the cottage. Here you can choose between the inviting bedrooms, the first being a charming king-size with deep window seat enjoying stunning far-reaching views. There is a small double next door, which also benefits from extensive views. Looking out to the rear of the property are the last two bedrooms, a dual-aspect double and a charming twin room. A shower room with WC completes the accommodation. These two back bedrooms and shower room can be separated from the other two bedrooms by a sliding door to create privacy for larger groups consisting of two separate families.
Venturing outside from the front door you will find a pretty and well-stocked cottage garden offering lovely views across the garden and down the quiet lane to the hills beyond. This is the ideal spot for breakfast, with a table and chairs tucked beside the cottage. Wrapping around the side of the cottage is a patio area with further seating and a charcoal BBQ, ensuring that you can make the most of any sun throughout the day or relax beneath the shady trees. To the rear of the property and accessed by a set of stone steps is a further garden with a fabulous view across the rooftops. Due to the uneven nature of this space, children must be accompanied at all times when in the rear garden. Heading down the hillside path you will find a parking area for three vehicles.
