The Glenshee Ski Centre is a short drive north (11 miles) for couples wishing to take to the slopes at Scotland's largest ski resort. For a day of romance and history, travel first to Braemar Castle (21 miles) and then on to Balmoral Castle (29 miles), the holiday home of the British Royal Family.
A single step up will bring you inside the property. From the entrance hall, enter the stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, complete with an impressive double-height vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, and skylight windows. The lounge space has a wood burner for cooler nights, and a sofa where you can sit and watch TV or a film. Behind this is the kitchen/diner, which has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher for all your cooking needs. The dining table benefits from the natural light coming in through the front pair of French doors, and there is also a second set on the opposite wall at the back of the cottage. Across the hall is the cosy bedroom, with its king-size bed, low beamed ceiling and dual aspect windows. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.
Head outside, where the enclosed garden wraps around the property. It's a lovely space for relaxing on the lawn when it's sunny. There is also a garden room, complete with a wood burner, where you can spend a romantic summer evening together.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
