This contemporary country bolthole is the ideal hideaway for families and groups of friends. Get ready for the kind of holiday you''ll be talking about long after you leave.

Nestled on the serene shores of Loch Lomond, this gem of a property is a cut above the rest. Boasting a coveted, exclusive spot surrounded by sprawling countryside and overlooking the loch, it affords privacy, comfort and direct access to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Especially suited to those with adventure at heart, everyone can find something to fall in love with here; whether you are curled up by the fire with a glass of wine, tucking into a lakeside picnic or exploring the surrounding hills with a compass, map and packet of boiled sweets at the ready.

On the approach, the attractive, polished facade hints at the quality within. Built in 2016, this property enjoys all the streamline edges and efficient systems of a modern build yet flaunts the thoughtful touches and luxurious comforts of a much-loved family home. At the heart of the farmhouse, the spacious lounge acts as an atmospheric space in which to enjoy quality time throughout the day. Light up the wood burner in winter to cast a warming glow around the room and snuggle into the sofa or armchair with a book. Sporting the same pared-back tones and sense of light, the connecting kitchen/diner provides plenty of space for rustling up home-cooked meals and serving delicious spreads of haggis, tatties, neeps and gravy. While in winter you'll want to keep the Scottish air firmly outside, in summer you can open up the patio doors to let the warm breeze trickle in. Excellent for grandparents or couples looking for a bit of extra space, there is a separate wing on the ground floor with its own entrance door. Boasting its own kitchen with breakfast bar, private lounge with wood burner and zip-and-link bedroom with adjoining bathroom, it allows that much-needed downtime whilst being only a hop, skip and a jump away from the party. Back in the main house, a stroll up the stairs leads you to the first-floor bedrooms, comprising a double with an en-suite and two twin bedrooms, as well as a bathroom with a shower.

When the Scottish weather behaves, the main downstairs rooms each have doors that open out on the patio areas with outside seating and a BBQ. With three separate terraces from which to chase the sun and admire the views, spending time outside will be a real pleasure, from your morning cup of tea in the sunshine to a sundowner under a dusky sky. If you can tear yourself away from the grounds, a fenced path leads you down to the shores of the loch. Benefiting from your own private sandy beach, all members of your clan (both two-legged and four) will have a ball playing in the cool waters and dozing under the sun.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £250 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Our week in Claddochside was the perfect location for our family holiday. The views from the house were incredible and it was laid out so you could enjoy the vista of the loch from each aspectRead more of the house. The house was also really well insulated for both warmth and sound adding to everyone's enjoyment. The amenities in the house were well catered for and the WIFI was fantastic (we tried to disconnect but the temptation to share views of the Loch were too much!). We felt remote enough to have no disturbance but also only be 4 minutes drive from a tea room and local conveniences and 10 minutes from a large supermarket and shopping. If you want to explore a bit of Scotland whilst not having to travel to far from the airport or conveniences this place is for you. We hope that we will be back soon! Hide

Prior to our arrival, her husband Peter sent a comprehensive list of where to go and what to do; sadly we didn't accomplish all we set out to do as we were also marrying during our stay. They kindly offered us the use of their stunning garden for our wedding photos, even taking deliveries on our behalf prior to arrival. Claddochside is a fantastic base, the perfect blend of quality and comfort, affording stunning views of the loch and Ben Lomond through the perfect picture window. Even with five adults in our party we had plenty of space, the annex is huge, more like a small house and complete with its own entrance!
