Overall this is a gorgeous traditional and sweet little cottage. The four poster bed has THE most comfortable mattress ever!! Location was fantastic I have never seen such clear night skys with bright stars. Very peaceful and enjoyed holiday. Would recommend visitors looking to cook to bring own utensils as these were poor. Pans were ready for the bin and knives were blunt.

This is a lovely cosy little cottage in a beautiful setting. We were so lucky to have three stags in the grounds beside the cottage when we arrived and we only had one bad day of rain and wind in the week. The tv had a good reception but you had to walk a little from the cottage to get a phone signal. Be aware there is another house let in the grounRead moreds the people who were there the same time as us had two large dogs one of which attacked our dog and bit his ear. Hide

Colquhoune's Byre is a remote peaceful cottage. It has everything you need for 2 people and is a great base to explore the area. We were in a good location for Neist point and the 3 restaurants we wanted to visit. Views all along the single track road were amazing and lots of interesting places to explore.

The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. The view was stunning. We could sit outside for the meals and had no troubles with midges. The bath was small but that was no problem. We would definitely come back.

We had a lovely stay in Colquhoune's Byre. The scenery around it is stunning and we actually had a visit from some deer. The Byre itself is charming and quite well appointed although the shower cubicle is very small. One of us is over six feet tall and had to watch his head moving through doorways. The weather turned very cold and the heating was nRead moreot quite adequate but we were warm during sleep because the bed had a great duvet. We also found the directions to the cottage a little confusing but a helpful local pointed the way. The local shop is a veritable Tardis and stocks everything one would need. One very good thing was the range of books about walks on Skye in the cottage - we found the one on short walks fabulous. We visited all over the island but especially recommend Glenbrittle Beach and Dunvegan Castle. Hide
