Location is amazing: bottom of glen, 3.5 miles from nearest houses, as antisocial as even we could have hoped for! House was clean and generally comfortable. Some limitations as to kitchen equipment, probably due to Covid, e.g. no wooden spoons or spatulas, etc. We only used 2 bedrooms but both were comfortable. Once again we had a fantastic holiday at Corriekinloch. My eldest caught lots of big trout and my youngest enjoyed exploring the waterfall, mountains and walks. Both dogs had a fab time along with us grown ups. The only downside was the midges were so bad we were stuck in for the mornings and evenings and didn't see any deer because of them. ObviouRead moresly the midges can't be helped. Luckily during the days they weren't so bad. All in all we had a lovely time away again Hide

Once again and amazing stay at Corriekinloch. Roddy and Marion made us feel very welcome. Easy to book the cottage. Facilities were fab and enjoyed a couple of days exploring the coast and the scenic drive. Both grandsons loved it, fishing most of the day and all the amazing walks. Will be returning again. Really great location at the base of the corrie at the head of Loch Shin. Excellent base for fishing or for walking into the Ben More Assynt area. The caretaker and the estate factor could not have been more helpful, thank you.

The lodge is fairly basic but it has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen if you like to cook, eat and enjoy during your stay. It is clean, has oil fired central heating(payable extra as per meter, our week cost 32 in heating @55p per litre of oil), water is from burn, but it's safe to drink(tastes a bit different). Bathroom is basic but funRead morectional. Beds are clean and comfy-which was important to us. Scenery is amazing. If fishing and walking/trekking, cycling is something you enjoy this is a place for you. You have to prepare for the trip(food, toiletries etc) as there are no shops withing around 20 miles. There are some amazing beaches within 1hr drive, well worth venturing out. The only downside costing this review 1 star were: creaky noisy stairs(with bathroom being downstairs not ideal at night time), and single glazed windows/house insulation preventing the house getting warm (to our standard) just from CH system. Electric heater was provided, which was sufficient. The caretaker was very helpful, made the stay even more enjoyable. Hide
