Perfectly placed to enjoy the surrounding Perthshire countryside, this former shooting lodge has a delightful traditional yet modern feel throughout, perfect for a family gathering or friendship group getaway.

Set on the banks of the Shee Water and in 1.5 acres of delightful grounds, fishing and nature enthusiasts will feel right at home when staying at this stunning property. The village of Braemar can be found nearby and is surrounded with spectacular mountain scenery as well as being home to some lovely boutique and independent shops as well as an array of places to eat out. Known as one of Scotland's most beautiful and vibrant places to visit, Pitlochry is also just a short drive away and is a great place for participating in activities such as golf, water sports and a spot of cycling.

The striking and attractive exterior of this property will immediately catch your eye as soon as you arrive, not least because of the beautiful hillside backdrop right behind it. On the ground floor, you will find a delightful sitting room with open fire and with a bay window that looks out onto Shee Water, as well as a dining room with decorative fireplace, and a beautiful country kitchen/diner that has been finished with contemporary touches. The study/TV room also has a sofa bed, allowing two extra guests to stay, and the addition of both a rear porch/boot room and utility/drying room means that it is easy to clean up and dry off after a day exploring the countryside. Upstairs, the master bedroom has more fabulous views out of its characterful bay window, as well as a super king-size bed. On this floor, you will also find a further double bedroom with its own Victorian fireplace, two twin bedrooms and two well-equipped bathrooms.

The private garden outside is the perfect spot to take in all of the nature and wildlife that live right on the doorstep – if you're lucky you may even catch sight of some red deer or a golden eagle from this spot!

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a lovely week at Corrydon Lodge. The house is a great size and the views are amazing. The hosts were lovely and sorted a few problems we had very quickly. The house is well equipped but in need of a little TLC. Although the location is great for exploring Highland Perthshire and the surrounding areas its not great for walking with dogs and kRead moreids straight out the door. The house is next to a busy road and has no direct access to walking paths. Hide

Loved the cottage, loads of big rooms to spread out in, every kitchen facility you would use at home, washing & drying facilities excellent. Beds very comfortable & views wonderful. Loved the log fire in the evenings. Plenty of parking space for several cars too.

Large house , plenty of room. Kitchen well equipped but I would have struggled to cook for 8 with the small oven . Lovely to sit in lounge and see deer on the hill. We were skiing , perfectly placed for getting to slopes. We will return. By the way the garden is not enclosed as gates dont close.

An amazing location, easy to find right on the A83 and great for walking in the mountains or skiing at Glenshee. It's a long way to the nearest shop or restaurant so take enough food for a few days and stay in!

The owners have made a lovely homely feel to this charActerful lodge which more than compensated for the few wee things needing touched up as per other comments. Lovely linens and made the best of all the features the house had. Great space, just wish was a wee bit closer to a village for our family.

The house was lovely and clean and the welcome pack much appreciated. On the down side:- we had to move the room frangrances and put them in a cupboard - they were in all rooms and quite over powering. I was quite sad that none of the windows opened as we are fresh air freaks! It would have been lovely to hear the river lulling us off to sleep at nRead moreight! There was some black mould and damp on the ceiling in the master bathroom - to have some air circulating in there would help stop that occurring (a vent or open a window) Good points - The location is beautiful The house decor is quite simple and suits the period of the house. The kitchen equipment was more than ample and well thought out! Lots of dvds available for those that want them A great range of books too It was a comfortable home from home. We enjoyed the Pitlochry theatre and thoroughly recommend it. The strathspey railway afternoon tea on a steam train was lovely. We thoroughly recommend cottages and castles as well as Corrydon Lodge Hide

Lovely house on the river bank near Glen Shee. Great kitchen, lovely bedrooms, great snug for kids and grown up line for us adults. There was no snow this year, but we found nearby walks, wood work course, outdoor survival course, nature trail and go karting.
