There's plenty to entertain from the comfort of your doorstep, from scenic walks across the terrain, to fishing and clay pigeon shooting on-site. If you can tear yourself away, the nearby village of Kinloch Rannoch 6 miles away is a delightful place to explore, with picture-perfect views, cycle trails and local wildlife – not forgetting a pretty cafe for a spot of lunch.

Elegant and impressive, the property combines soft neutral decor with traditional details and antique furniture. Flooded by natural light, the sitting room has plenty of comfortable seats to accommodate your entire party. Two crackling open fires add to the atmosphere, inviting you to relax with a glass of something delicious in hand. Dinner is a glamorous affair thanks to the stylish dining room, with enough seating for 18 guests and a well-equipped kitchen for preparing meals. You could even hire a chef to prepare a feast! The games room is ideal for a round of table tennis, or a board game or two for those with a competitive spirit. The ground floor is also home to a drying room for muddy boots, a pantry, laundry and log store. There are even two additional toilets: one in the handy cloakroom, and another separate WC. The first of nine bedrooms is located downstairs too - a spacious double with an en-suite bathroom. Upstairs you'll discover the remaining eight bedrooms, all of which have their own en-suite or private bathroom and inviting king-size beds, which can be converted into twins on request.

Outside the property is an enchanting array of pretty flowerbeds, sweeping lawns and rolling hills as far as the eye can see. Settle down with the papers and freshly brewed coffee on the patio, savouring the ambience and spotting the resident wildlife. Lovely lodge in lovely setting. The bedrooms were all good quality. A comfortable lounge and dining area fitted the 15 people in our party easily. Incredible views over the loch and hills to the south from the house and garden. A 'games' room was a bonus - table tennis table and TV. The house had a homely feel about it, with quite a lot of games, bRead moreooks, leaflets etc. We liked it but some people might not with what could be seen as 'clutter' and care needed with not losing your own items! A group of 16 friends enjoyed a fabulous week at Criaganour Lodge. The weather was perfect and virtually no midges! A great location for hillwalking, cycling and watersports. The house is well equipped and very comfortable.
