A traditional Highland farmhouse with views over the Firth of Lorne, close to the beach and some excellent walking country.

This large home offers spectacular scenery and lots of space, both inside and out, for large families. The village of Benderloch, with its shop and restaurant, is less than a mile away. The larger town of Oban, where you can catch ferries to the Isle of Mull and elsewhere, is 9 miles away and has shops, restaurants and pubs. Tralee beach, a sandy beach backed by dunes, is around 1.5 miles away and can be reached on foot from Benderloch. It's a great place to be for beach days, walking and just kicking back and enjoying the Highland scenery.

Inside, the house has plenty of social and private spaces, making it a really flexible home. The entrance hall has space to hang coats, and a cloakroom with WC. The large farmhouse kitchen has a larder, an electric hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is a separate utility room, handy for larger groups. The spacious dining room has an oil-fired Rayburn and a large table with room for everyone to gather. This room leads to the second wing of the house, where you'll find a family room with a TV and open fire and a bedroom with a zip-and-link bed. This wing can also be accessed using its own front door, perfect for a guest who needs a little more privacy. Returning to the main house, there is a large living room with a choice of sofas and armchairs, a wood burner and lovely views from its bay window. Steps lead up from the living room to the first floor, where there are another four bedrooms. They include three doubles and a twin, and there are two more bathrooms.

Outside, there is a 2-acre south-facing garden. It has a terrace and lawns running down to the sea, with garden furniture. The views are incredible, especially at sunset.

A very old building, but lovely and warm with heating, raeburn and log fire. A few minor things that you would expect with an old house but nothing that impacts the experience. Gorgeous views and great walks nearby, with both a local shop in walking distance and only 5 miles to Oban. Really comfy beds and lots of space. Great for a winter getaway.
