A large family home in Strathspey set in 3 acres, perfectly placed for exploring the Highlands and the Cairngorms.

This farmhouse home-from-home is ideal for families looking for relaxing and active holidays. Set within the Cairngorms National Park, there is plenty to explore nearby. The town of Grantown on Spey is 4 miles away and has a shop and pub. Further afield, Aviemore is 18 miles away, and is a summer hiking and winter skiing destination. Walking, mountain biking, climbing and kayaking are all available in the mountains, while fishing on the River Spey provides a more relaxed option.

Inside, the house is spacious and thoughtfully decorated and furnished. There is a welcoming living room with several sofas, an open fire and a TV. This is a great space for lazy afternoons and cosy evenings. The large kitchen/diner is perfect for social cooking and dining, with lots of room to prep food and enjoy a glass of wine while cooking. It has a large table at its heart, with room for everyone to eat together. It's well-equipped with a gas range cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine, and a separate chest freezer. There are three bedrooms in the property: one is a twin room on the ground floor and on the first floor, there is one double room and a family bedroom sleeping three. There is also a bathroom on each floor.

At the back is a safe, enclosed garden with furniture so you can enjoy an evening drink or morning cup of coffee. At the front is an open garden with a pond; children must be supervised here. There is also ample parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Had a great 7 day holiday at Dallachapple cottage for Hogmanay . Lovely location closes enough to amenities and to see Hogmanay fireworks but still nice and rural , very peaceful place. One down side one of the double beds squeaks very loud with every move.
