Stay on the grounds of the 10,000-acre Dallas Estate, in a traditional manor home that's steeped in charm. Enjoy vast surrounding gardens with boating and fishing on your very doorstep.

Hidden by tree-lined country roads, this property is the perfect spot for a family reunion and the chance to explore the rugged Moray wildlife. It's just 20 miles from the brink of the Cairngorms National Park, where you can visit a range of castles, take part in hiking, skiing, mountain biking and much more. Visit the local market town of Elgin (12 miles), where you can visit Britain's oldest museum and a ruined cathedral, along with a host of eateries and independent shops. Findhorn Beach (12 miles) is the perfect sandy spot for sunbathing or surfing or stay closer to home and fish in the River Lossie (2.5 miles).

Enter into the spacious hallway and find a handy cloakroom for storing coats and boots, before heading straight through into the spacious farmhouse kitchen. You'll find plenty of space to cook for your party of 12 and a large traditional Aga. You'll find a back-up electric cooker, as well as fridge, freezer and microwave. A small breakfast table to one side of the kitchen offers stunning views of the rose garden outside, an ideal space to enjoy morning coffee. Large meals can be enjoyed in the vast dining room, where a spacious dining table sits in front of a wood burner for cosy mid-winter celebrations. On this floor, you'll also find a laundry room with two washing machines and a tumble dryer, a pantry for storing food and two small WCs. Both adults and kids will find space to relax with a drawing room, relaxing conservatory and a playroom. The drawing room boasts wood burner and grand piano, and you'll find a TV/DVD with Sky package, an assortation of games and books and a table tennis table in the playroom. Enjoy a good book and some peace and quiet in the conservatory. All of the home's bedrooms can be found on the first floor, via the spacious entrance hall. The master bedroom is a double with en-suite, offering a WC and bath, and three further bathrooms are available to share. All three of these boast baths and WCs, and one has a shower also. The further six bedrooms are made up of three twins, two doubles and a cosy single. All bedrooms are traditionally decorated with antique furniture and floral prints, boasting stunning views of the surrounding grounds and equipped with an electric blanket for cooler nights.

Relax and unwind in the vast grounds of this estate, a large section of which is enclosed for your enjoyment. Entertain alfresco with the BBQ and outdoor furniture, and let kids run wild on the lawn, enjoy croquet or jump on the trampoline. We had a simply lovely holiday in this beautifully presented historical home. It is close to many places of historical interest as well as picturesque beaches. Much appreciation is due to Jean the housekeeper and Frances the cook, who have added so much to our holiday.
