Looking out over the River Findhorn and the stunning Morayshire countryside, this property is ideally located for active holidays in rural Scotland. Take on the mountains and moors of the Cairngorms National Park or jump on a horse or bike to explore the coastline before stopping for a bite to eat at one of the independent cafes, restaurants or pubs in nearby Forres (8.5 miles). Literary lovers shouldn't miss a trip to Cawdor Castle (11.5 miles) of Shakespeare's Macbeth fame, with more history to be discovered at National Trust Brodie Castle (11 miles). Take to the coast and discover Moray Firth's many beaches, which include the sandy stretch at Nairn (12.5 miles) and the boating hotspot at Burghead (18.5 miles).

This white-washed Highland cottage has been beautifully modernised inside to offer light and airy accommodation with plenty of cosy and homely touches. After a long day of discovery, rustle up delicious family meals in the chic modern kitchen, which is furnished with stylish contemporary units and a small dining table overlooking the countryside. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Once prepared, enjoy evening meals at the table in the spacious lounge/diner. With extensive windows, a door opening onto the garden and an open fire, this is a fantastic room in which to relax and unwind in both summer and winter. Also on the ground floor, there is a twin bedroom and bathroom with overhead shower. Upstairs on the first floor, you will find three further bedrooms with coombed ceilings, one twin, one double and one single. Decorated in tasteful neutral tones with pretty soft furnishings, the bedrooms share a bathroom.

Outside, the delightful garden with furniture and a BBQ leads right down to the river, where roe deer and fishing ospreys can often be spotted.

Perfect cottage, perfect location, great for walking straight from the door. Couldn't fault anything. The cottage was warm, cosy, comfortable and well equiped.

Bright, spacious cottage surrounded by woodland and fields, with an ever changing view of the river and landscape. Great spot for star gazing and lots of day time activities easily available.

Beautiful homely, extremely spacious property in a fantastic relaxed setting. The views and walks from the cottage are stunning and the night skies great for star gazing. A great base to discover the wonderful delights of Scotland, with local shops only a short car journey away with everything you will need.

Fantastic holiday and the cottage was beautiful and clean. The setting of the cottage is breathtaking with beautiful views . It's 15 min from a beautiful beach and towns . Lots to do and places to visit.

Daitullich Cottage is set in an idyllic location with dramatic views over the River Findhorn which you can access via delightful woodland walks straight from the garden. The house is very well-appointed, especially the kitchen and is very relaxing and comfortable. I have been coming to this cottage for ten years now. It is just as amazing and special as the first time I came here. I brought my family with me this time and they were blown away.
