Set in a beautiful remote spot in the north of Cairngorms National Park, this lovely property has views across Dorback Burn to the distant hills. This amazing area is renowned for a range of activities including walking, hill climbing, stalking, fishing and mountain biking. The area is abundant with wildlife with opportunities to spot deer, pine martens and red squirrels. Situated in the Caledonian pine forest is the picturesque village of Nethy Bridge (6 miles) which offers a choice of places to eat and drink as well as a nine-hole golf course and the remains of the 12th-century Castle Roy.
On entering this charming and inviting property, you will find yourself in the elegant and attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has been lovingly furnished and decorated and features exposed oak beams and open fires. The lounge is an ideal space to unwind in, with plenty of seating plus a TV and DVD player, while the handsomely decorated dining room is ideal for sharing a special family meal. The stylish hand-crafted kitchen is fully equipped with a hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge, washer/dryer and Caithness slate worktops. There is also a ground-floor WC. Going upstairs, there are two cosy and beautifully decorated bedrooms on the first floor – a twin room, and a zip-and-link twin room which can be made up as a double on request. There is also a bathroom complete with bath, shower and WC.
Outside you can relax in the enclosed garden and enjoy a morning coffee or al fresco meal before exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside.
For that special occasion Fae Bothy can also be hired at an additional cost. The bothy is located in the heart of the Estate and is beautifully renovated to include a fully fitted kitchen, charcoal grill, large dining table, sofas, roaring wood burner and WC. Private dining can also be arranged.
