Great cottage, plenty of space, a little remote, very quiet. Great views! With quite a few stuffed animals on display I guess it's not really a good place to stay for animal lovers or vegans though.

We loved staying in this hunting lodge style cottage. Its situated beautifully overlooking the Dorback river with walks from the front door. We loved our cosy evenings by the woodburner and adventures in the snow. We look forward to coming back!

They cottage is just beautiful. It is set in the most amazing surroundings down a gravel track (which is very well maintained!). Theres another house on the plot but this isnt lived in (used by the estate owners occasionally). It is very well equipped and the beds are the comfiest weve ever slept on! Theres access to the river and lovely walks. WerRead moree were very sad to leave and are already looking to book it again soon! Nethy Bridge Cafe is also a must - the pancakes are delightful! Hide

A wonderfully remote and dramatic location which is perfect for walkers, cyclists and wildlife spotters. The cottage itself feels like a hunters lodge, with lovely wood panelling on the walls, antique furniture and pieces of taxidermy which are sympathetic to the style of the property and its location. The garden looks out across a stream below, a Read moreforest with roe deer and mountains beyond. Its all tucked away a mile down a remote track, so if you want to get away from it all, this is perfect. Hide

Drum Cottage is the perfect escape, being rural and peaceful with wildlife nearby (deer, red squirrels and house martins to name but a few). Excellent location for walking and exploring. Being mountain bike riders, we rode from the cottage and around the surrounding area but also used the bike parks, such as Glenleveitt and Laggan Wolftrax. The proRead moreperty is of a very good standard, with comfy beds and overall excellent facilities. We didn't want to leave! Hide

Drum cottage is lovely, really well appointed and in a very quiet location on Dorback Estate. Perfect for a family of 4 or 2 couples (1 double & 1 twin) . We had fantastic weather during our stay, exploring glens, hills and Lochs to the north and south as well as locRead moreal walks around Nethy Bridge. The housekeeper, Gillian, was really helpful and responsive. Happy to recommend this cottage. Hide

We have just had a wonderful week in Drum cottage. The cottage and grounds are fabulous with quality furnishings and fittings. The property was cleaned to the highest standards and had everything that we needed for cooking. There are restaurants and take aways dotted around NethyBridge, Grantown and Aviemire and supermarkets in each also. Great walRead moreks around Loch Insh, we went back there a second day to have a day of water sports. We also loved the serene Loch Eilein for a shorter walk. Hide

We have a fab week at Drum Cottage. Being in the middle of nowhere meant we felt we have completely escaped. The cottage is in a great spot and is really comfortable. The hosts were helpful and friendly when we had a couple of queries. We would book to stay there again very happily.

Cleanliness was a huge missing factor. We were bombarded by a bunch of 10 - 15 flies in each rooms, probably hiding in the curtains. We opened the windows to lead them out, still we end up finding few again after few hours. The sofas in the living rooms seemed to have a lot of dust as it ended up giving us itches all over our body. The kettle & toaRead morester were extremely dirty, hence we ended up not using them. The only good thing about the place are its surroundings. Hide
