Property code: CA117

The raised position of this property provides an excellent vantage point for admiring the seascape views that sweep away from Whiting Bay, the third-largest settlement on the Isle of Arran. Just a few minutes' walk (less than 0.5 miles) from the centre of the village, shops, eateries and even a golf course are on your doorstep. Head down to the beach for a day on the sand, or take a 10-mile drive to Brodick Castle where you might spot a red squirrel or two!

All the rooms inside are set on one level and have a soothing coastal ambience. The compact kitchen is practical and well-equipped, while the dining room has ample seating for four around the table. After a hearty meal, wander through to the lounge where you can admire sea views from the comfort of an armchair. Sink back into comfy seating with a book while you listen to some music, or pop on a DVD. Two cosy bedrooms await: one double and one twin. Both bedrooms are brimming with colourful charm and have plenty of storage space. They share use of the bright and clean family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath. There is also a utility room and porch with heaps of space for wet coats and muddy boots to dry out, ready for another day of adventure.

The house is surrounded by a large grassy garden, the perfect place for a sunny picnic. If you'd prefer to make use of the patio, why not dine alfresco as the sun sets? Or simply sit out here with a glass of your favourite tipple and listen to the crickets chirping after nightfall, waves crashing in the distance. Please note that a small burn and ditches bound the sides of the garden but it is not fully enclosed. Therefore, small children and dogs should be supervised.

Spacious and comfortable and in a peaceful location with lovely views. Accessed via a steep hill. Dunollie is superb! It is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It is very well appointed and probably the best equipped cottage that we have ever stayed at. We had a wonderful time. We really enjoyed our stay at Dunollie. It was clean, had everything you need for a comfortable stay and is perfectly located to enjoy everything Arran has to offer. Our dogs loved playing in the garden. Being able to see Holy Isle appear and disappear in the mist from the cottage, was a fabulous surprise. We also enjoyed visiting bunnies and the rRead moreed squirrel. The complimentary bottle came in handy for a BYOB meal at the Shore on the night of our arrival, which was just a few minutes walk away. Hide

Lovely cottage and a bottle of wine waiting, a lovely touch. Would definitely book again as its location is within easy access to the ferry, lots of dog walking in the area without having to use the car. Hadn't been to Arran before but found it unlike anywhere else, the sea looking out to Holy Island, the mountains. Lovely food to be had around theRead more island. Was surprised by how reasonably priced everything was. Rodrick Castle was an absolute joy to visit and I would urge people to visit. Hide

Nice Cottage and location overall. However, Fully enclose the garden (make it more dog friendly) There was dirty bedding left in the property upon our arrival and we had to wait a further 2 hours+ for this to be sorted. Clean bedding wasnt already on the beds and this also had to b sorted.
