Enjoy views over Loch Torridon from the raised position of this lovingly converted church - the perfect unique bolthole for a family break in the Highlands.

Secluded on a hillside, surrounded by mature woodland, this characterful stone-faced property sits amongst the dramatic Scottish scenery. Previously a church, the building has found new life as a delightful holiday home, complete with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The local area is packed with a huge range of walking paths and famous for its spectacular nearby mountains, so exploring by foot is popular, as well as climbing, hiking and kayaking. After a day out taking in the views, you're only an 8-mile drive from amenities in Torridon, and dinner at a local inn.

If you'd prefer to cook for yourself, head back to the spacious kitchen at the house where eight people can sit comfortably around the table making this a great social space. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with a traditional wrought-iron bedstead and en-suite bathroom, a shower room and a utility/boot room for outdoor clothes and shoes. There is a washing machine and a tumble dryer in here should you need them during your stay. Simple, elegant furnishings, tasteful style and homely touches can be expected from the interior, particularly evident in the beautiful upstairs lounge. Sink into one of the comfy armchairs with a favourite book or a film, but please note that the TV doesn't pick up reception so remember to pack a DVD or two. On the first floor next to the lounge are two spacious twin bedrooms and a bathroom.

French doors lead from the kitchen out onto a gravelled area where you can gaze at snow-capped mountains in the winter or lush greenery in summer months. Please note that the house is accessed via steep steps near the house and that parking is available down these steps and across a bridge.

Please note there is a refundable £250 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Eaglais is hidden in a very very beautiful, peaceful & remote part of the world - a perfect escape from the bonkers. Has every kitchen utensil you could ever want. Is clean, comfy and warm - lovely to get back to after a soggy walk. A great place for a family all sat around the huge kitchen table - lovely! We had a fab 3 days. Thank you.

A lovely house in a stunning location. Car sat abandoned for most of the week as we did Beinn Alligin from the door and kayaked/swam in the loch every day.

Fabulous house - better than the description, in an amazing location by a river and on the coast in a beautiful secluded area. Contained everything we needed ( worth putting on the renting site that it's best to confirm how many beds are needed ). We didn't want to leave .

This is a fantastic cottage in the most idyllic, scenic location. The cottage has everything, and more, than you possibly could ask for.

Loved this house and was perfect for a family of four, with 2 kids. The house was spacious and very clean. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and towels provided. There was also WiFi which was a nice surprise! It's in a remote location, a small hamlet but by the loch. You can easily walk down to the loch edge and Read morewhile away an hour or so. Would love to go back one day, as we liked it so much. Hide

Excellent holiday house. Beautiful location in a small woodland near the seashore with nice views of the Loch. Very tastefully furnished with a really nice kitchen/dining area. One of the best holidays houses we have had in Scotland.
