At the foot of Glen Garry on the Road to the Isles, this rural property is the perfect place for a relaxed break in peaceful surroundings

Set between Loch Ness and Fort William, this country cottage is made for a group of walkers or families who enjoy remote hideaways and being off grid. Cycle through the forest landscape or take a hike through the rugged landscape where magnificent views of woodland, mountains and rivers abound. Look out for the fascinating spectacle of migrating salmon as they migrate each year from the River Garry up through the falls to spawn. Bring a camera as this idyllic region offers endless photo opportunities with Loch Garry to the north and Ben Tee to the south.

Approach the property along the narrow though charming road to Invergarry. Sleeping six guests across three bedrooms, this spacious country-style cottage offers a warm welcome with rustic charms and every creature comfort to hand to make your stay a relaxing one. Conveniently set on one level, you can kick back after a long day out and relax on the sitting room sofa by the open fire; there's no Wi-Fi here so you and your guests will be able to enjoy a chat and catch up on the day. There's a well-equipped kitchen for mealtimes too. As night falls, choose from two twin bedrooms and a double bedroom. There's also a family bathroom with a bath/shower and WC.

Outside, there's an enclosed lawned garden, the perfect spot to relax with your four-legged friends. Take a leisurely walk from the doorstep, or a hill walk together to see the views from Loch Quoich dam. Deer may wander by your holiday home too, and golden eagles also make the occasional landing in the garden. Furnishings are of an older style but still pretty comfortable. An amazing location properly off the beaten track the Stalker for the estate lives nearby and couldn't be friendlier if you have any issue. If you can go to the far end of the road do so worth the drive and walk out to the sea. Also the greeting from the deer who come to your gate to sRead moreee you was priceless. We had a camera trap with us and recorded Badgers, Deer and various wildlife in the nearby area also Sea Eagles and much more. Hide

The cottage was amazing. It had all we needed (although would have been nice to have been able to sit outside). It was perfect for walking, exploring and playing in the water without having to take the car anywhere. The kids were overjoyed with the deer that came into the garden and with the toads and voles they found. Our Jack Russell also loved tRead morehe enclosed garden. A good time had by all. Thank you! Great if you like to be truely in the Highlands and away from the hustle and buzzle of tourist hotspots. There is deer right at the doorstep and lots of other wildlife too, walks right from the house and many mountains in the area. And what a blessing that there is no phone signal!
