Set amidst the Grampian Mountains on the banks of a pretty and tranquil loch, this beautifully updated property is perfect for friends and families (4 adults and 2 children) seeking wild green freedom and exquisite Highland delights. Discover the mystery and romance of spectacular Blair Castle (12.5 miles), ancestral home of Clan Murray. Enjoy the ravishing vistas from Queen's View (4 miles), where wife of Robert the Bruce Queen Isabella and Queen Victoria loved to look west across Loch Tummel; on a clear day, you can sometimes see the west coast mountains surrounding Glencoe. There are myriad forest walks around here; just to the west in Allean Forest (4.5 miles), look out for the remains of an 8th century ring fort and a reconstructed 18th-century farmhouse.

The cottage's interior brilliantly blends elements of Scandinavian, mid-century and contemporary design, to create a superb feeling of light, cosiness, sleek lines and colourful, welcoming spaces. Kick back in the cool wood-floored open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, and indulge in the cornucopia of local produce that thrives in this lush, mineral-rich landscape. Gather at the table by the glowing wood burner, or on the sofas by the picture window sliding doors with their sublime views of Loch Tummel. Unwind in a steaming bath after days of adventure, leaving muddy things in the wonderful new boot room. The double, twin and bunk bedrooms (suitable for children only) will lull you to sweet dreams.

Lounge with drinks and snacks on the decking or in the enclosed garden, surrounded by wild nature. Find your favourite viewpoint; the sights, sounds, smells and memories will live with you forever.

Both properties were excellent. The cottage at Navidale had a magnificent view across the North Sea, was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. Larach Beag was yet another of our visits there and where, with Kioma and Port an Eilean before, my late wife and I had enjoyed almost yearly stays for almost 20 years. A lovely property in a most amazing location with a fabulous view. The lovely secure garden is a big plus if you have dogs or children. Great to have a lovely inn next door that does excellent food. There are no walks direct from the house and it is quite remote so be prepared to have to drive some distance to get anywhere.

Stayed here following a week in the Lake District with Family. What an amazing, peaceful location, brilliant views, great cottage, didn't want to leave. Brilliantly placed for exploring or just chilling.

Larach Beag is one of our favourite cottages. The location is rural but not remote, the house is beautifully laid out with space for peace or coming together and the view is priceless! The garden is great, our old dog was very safe. We did the outdoor bath twice (yes in feb!), our 5yr old daughter loved star gazing whilst having a soak.thats a lifeRead more memory. We will definitely be back. Thank you for another wonderful week. Hide

A perfect cottage for a restful week - spotless and comfortable. Just a pity the adjacent Tummel Inn was closed during the holiday season!

Enjoy the spectacular view and the wonderfully comfortable and well equipped house which is set in its own enclosed garden. The Scandinavian hot bath was worth the effort of lighting and with the dark night skies above, marvel at the cosmos. Truly magical.

The house is amazing, the views fantastic. The outdoor kitchen and bath are great. Forest walks nearby and Pitlochry is a lovely, busy town. The Inn next door does good food but is more like a wine bar, but well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Amazing location, and the view is even better in real life! Cosy cottage with really everything you need for a fantastic stay. We enjoyed the large selection of board games during the rainy days. We loved our break at Larach Beag. The house was lovely, really comfortable, great garden and amazing views. Lots of opportunities for walks and sight seeing in the area too. Having the Inn next door meant you could have a night of cooking, and the food and service in the Inn was great. We would love to stay here again.
